Nope. I was trying to see if the smilies could be made larger using the "font size" feature.

I guess you figured it out - but it looks like some of them don't enlarge as well as others. How did you do it?

Guest -> RE: Forum Ideas/Suggestions (10/20/2011 10:25:22 PM)

resize them in a photo editor and post them on image shack then upload them

Lynn G. -> RE: Forum Ideas/Suggestions (10/20/2011 10:35:49 PM)

Thanks. I guess I'm too lazy to go to that trouble. [:D]

David F. -> RE: Forum Ideas/Suggestions (12/22/2011 4:14:01 PM)

I would like to suggest that the site opens up more running threads. For example, rather than just having 'general vikes discussion', 'game day talk', 'stadium issues', 'draft thread' etc... I think there should be a running thread on every player on the roster as well as offensive strat, defensive strat, vikes in the community, on so on.

The hard reality of the current design is that it's really really hard to keep up with the massive thread 'general vikes talk'. It's much easier to lurk than to contribute and when a person does finally contribute there are so many gems of posts that just get buried. The current system also lends itself to posters repeating things over and over and over and over.

Most sites that I frequent allow users to start their own threads at will. You can sticky the big ones if you like but my experience says that the good ones will always stay towards the top.

Basically I feel no motivation to make a well-constructed, stat-laden, historically-researched post in the 'general vikes talk' thread when I know it will be buried in two days.

I've been on sites where people have made absolutely legendary posts that stand the test of time and get 'bumped' quite often. This is not possible in the current format.

Just throwing this out there...

All my legendary posts get skimmed past and forgotten.

Toby Stumbo -> RE: Forum Ideas/Suggestions (12/22/2011 8:36:58 PM)

We don't have locked threads, anybody can make a thread here just like other forums and they move up each time they are the most current thread posted in. [;)]

Most people here like to stick to one or two threads though because that's the way it was on the strib forum where most of us came from (if that makes sense).

Todd M -> RE: Forum Ideas/Suggestions (2/18/2012 1:35:17 PM)

Improve the garbage search function.

I've paid nothing for this site and don't feel I am getting my money's worth...[:'(]

What you are looking for is on page 134,569 [;)]

This is Trekgeekscott.

Is this thing still down?  The system is saying the password I've entered is incorrect.  It wont let me back in.

Can someone please help.

Just in case the proper people aren't aware, this site has been jacked up for at least a week.

Is this being attended to? What can I/We do?

Lynn G. -> RE: Forum Ideas/Suggestions (5/27/2012 7:54:22 AM)

I only heard about the one day on which several people said they couldn't read all of the threads, but I assumed that was fixed. What kinds of problems are you still experiencing?

Todd M -> RE: Forum Ideas/Suggestions (5/27/2012 9:49:00 AM)

I'm still getting error messages when I post. A pause when I submit a post. And I can't enter a thread from the last message from the home page.

Guest -> RE: Forum Ideas/Suggestions (5/27/2012 3:52:51 PM)

i get "server error" screen constantly..

thebigo -> RE: Forum Ideas/Suggestions (6/3/2012 6:32:23 PM)

I was able to get at the threads, albeit very slow, but was also receiving a good share of server error screens. So I applied the "recommended" fix of cleaning out cookies browsing history etc and rebooting my modem. Now I get nothing but "server errors". [X(] Except for this thread of course. [X(][X(]

Toby Stumbo -> RE: Forum Ideas/Suggestions (6/4/2012 8:02:22 AM)

No problems here which is quite strange. I've sent messages to the Server guys and with any luck they find and fix the issue. Hang tight.

thebigo -> RE: Forum Ideas/Suggestions (6/4/2012 9:35:07 PM)

Looks like I'm good on my lappy now. Have to check the desktop, maybe manana.

Guest -> RE: Forum Ideas/Suggestions (6/7/2012 8:06:37 AM)

Toby or somebody:

I've lost the flashing yellow thingy which tells me I've got unread messages and which when I clicked on it went to my last unread message. Also, I've lost the Politics thread under All Forums. And I still get the run error on the high count threads. Any suggestions?

You guys do a superb job with this site and it is much appreciated.

Thanks.

Not sure who you are, is your login not working?

eagleflorida -> RE: Forum Ideas/Suggestions (6/8/2012 7:20:38 AM)

For crying out loud.....did not notice I was not logged in....it's usually automatic. Thanks Toby.

Toby Stumbo -> RE: Forum Ideas/Suggestions (6/8/2012 11:41:35 AM)

Well, that was an easy fix. [:D]

Lynn G. -> RE: Forum Ideas/Suggestions (6/19/2012 10:35:08 AM)

When everyone else was having that "Server error" problem mine seemed to work just fine. Now I'm having it too - so far just in the Twins threads.

Maybe it's a leftover from last night's storms...
