Cole Hamels had some ugly numbers against some Detroit hitters....so not too surprising the Tigers are hitting him. It wasn't a big sample size so I didn't post them.
I think crowning Texas as the West champion is way too premature when they have a 4 game series to finish the season against the Angels.
Still can't believe Trout's catch the other day.
So much fun to see that on this level.
I played some LF in the early 80's with a guy next to me (as the Rover) who was all of 5-foot-4 and maybe 125 pounds, but he went and "got em" if you know what I mean.
I had to, maybe 3-4 times at least ... run over and re-right him after he had done the fence-reach-catch-thing. The momentum of the ball would always take him over the fence, luckily he was so small.
He had enough strength to use his free hand to keep his entire body upside down until I got over there, I'd jump up and grab his belt and pull him back over into the playing field as he hung there, balancing with only his fingers on our side of the fence.
Reminded me so much of that Trout catch.
The guy does things you only see in softball, or on video games. So much fun.
