Shocking
Not

Make America Great Again.

All those Boston Goons feeling good about dropping N Bombs, again and out loud!

Disgusting as hell
And exactly what we figured would happen after November.
Congrats, 'Merica

If you don't know whether he is a hitter or pitcher,
he's not worthy of the #1 pick.

And before some wise guy says Hunter Greene,
guys that hit 102 with control aren't Shortstops (even if they could be)

Mlb network has Miggy Sano on today
2:45 I think

Mr. Ed -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (5/3/2017 10:42:41 AM)

The initial news on the torn lat of Mets ace Noah Syndergaard is not terribly promising. As Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports on Twitter, “initial conservative estimates” place his expected absence at about three months.

Syndergaard, the hulking righty who has emerged as one of the game’s top starters, left his most recent outing with the injury. It wasn’t clear at the time just how long he’d be down, but it seems that the initial look from the doctors suggests a lengthy absence. Syndergaard is headed to visit Dr. Neal ElAttrache to obtain a secon opinion, per Sherman.

Done for the season.

One reason I'm somewhat leery of drafting the 102 MPH thrower.

Can't be. She likes Red Sox players.

The Blue Jays announced that they have released catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia. He had been designated for assignment recently. Saltalamacchia opened the year as the team’s reserve catcher, but never got it going offensively. The high-power, high-K switch-hitter did more of the latter, going down on strikeouts 16 times while recording only a single base hit over 26 trips to the plate.

Then he becomes the next Jeter.

You want the Next Phil Hughes or Mitch Morelan?

Righty knuckleballer Steven Wright is meeting with the Red Sox today to consider potentially season-ending surgery on his injured left knee, Evan Drellich of CSNNE.com writes. Wright has visited a knee specialist, but has not yet reached a decision about his path forward.

The Red Sox placed Wright on the 10-day DL with a knee sprain earlier this week, and the team is set to purchase the contract of Kyle Kendrick tomorrow to fill out its rotation. Wright’s terrific 2016 season was cut short due to bursitis in his shoulder, and as he completed his recovery from that injury in Spring Training, it emerged that he had been wearing a knee brace to deal with soreness in that area.

Aaron Judge is an unstoppable force of baseball-smashing nature. I have nothing to add about his 13th home run, which helped the Yankees beat the Blue Jays 8-6 and improve to 17-9, except all these wonderful Judge factoids from ESPN Stats & Information:

Yankees are 11-0 when Judge homers.

He leads the majors with six home runs of 425-plus feet.

He has the most home runs in a player's first 25 games of a season in Yankees history: Alex Rodriguez, 14 (2007); Judge, 13 (2017); Glenallen Hill, 12 (2000); Babe Ruth, 12 (1921).

Curt Schilling continues to be an ass.

https://www.yahoo.com/sports/news/curt-schilling-believes-adam-jones-lying-racial-taunts-221447957.html

Really Curt???? PLENTY of people have confirmed this happened. The RED SOX management confirmed it happened by ejecting hordes of fans and banning at least one for life. Why put out untruths on purpose? One of the many things that perplexes me regarding these hard right-wingers. How can you go thru life feeling like you're some great Christian, which I fully believe Schilling thinks he is.

Not all miracles happen FOR you.

NYs plan about a year and a half ahead of schedule.
That's how they do things there.

Mr. Ed -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (5/5/2017 10:50:34 PM)

Trouble for the O's

Baltimore Orioles closer Zach Britton was not available to pitch Friday night against the Chicago White Sox after having a recurrence of pain in his injured left forearm.

Britton, who was not in the bullpen during Friday's 4-2 win, underwent an MRI exam on his arm, and manager Buck Showalter said the team is considering the next move for him.

"There's some talk about the next step to take with him," Showalter said. "He woke up this morning, felt it, felt some discomfort this morning. ... It got a little better as the day went on, but we're trying to decide what our next step is."

Britton was reinstated from the 10-day disabled list Tuesday after being sidelined since April 18 with a left forearm strain. He pitched a scoreless inning against the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday, and followed with another scoreless inning Thursday.

SoMnFan -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (5/5/2017 10:52:30 PM)

THAT would suck
He's been about as good as a closer gets ... and they need one

Mr. Ed -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (5/6/2017 6:19:04 PM)

Mets ace Noah Syndergaard’s next stop could be the 60-day disabled list, reports the Associated Press. Syndergaard, who hit the 10-day DL on Monday with a partially torn right lat muscle, went to Dr. Neal ElAttrache for a second opinion earlier this week. During Syndergaard’s visit, ElAttrache told him not to resume throwing for six weeks.

If all goes well during Syndergaard’s six-week layoff, the 24-year-old could begin working his way back around mid-June, but he’d then need to go through a spring training-like program to build up his arm. Unsurprisingly, then, general manager Sandy Alderson said Saturday that “realistically it’s going to take a while” for Syndergaard to return, adding, “It’s going to be much later in the season.”

Yanks having a good weekend in Cheeecago

SoMnFan -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (5/8/2017 1:49:57 AM)

Yanks complete the sweep in 18 innings
Combined 48 strikeouts
That seems impossible

Our boy Hicks scores the winning run
