Twins have a little way to go.

Even with a decent pitching staff


The average four seam fastball velocity yesterday (389 pitches) between the 8 teams playing was 96 MPH.

Tampa is the team no one really talks much about.

One aspect of this whole system is playing on "neutral" fields.

No home field advantange

No short porch. No green monster bandbox. No embarrassing ground rules in Tampa

Play ball. Both teams are road teams, living in hotels.

I love it
No real advantages, and umps aren't feeling obligated to favor one or the other
I have ZERO need for crowds at these events
The NHL playoffs ended up being about as entertaining for me as I have ever seen
In the end, all of that is just white noise (which they insist on pumping in)
It gives you a better feel, imo, like a scour perspective on the game itself and each players contributions, unaffected by outside interference
You still see PLENTY of emotion, and imo, its AWESOME to see them more into the team feelings, rather than playing to crowds.
They are truly playing for their team, all pulling together in the same direction. I'm betting the team bonds are much stronger right now than they have ever been.

Strib went through a list of guys that needed to go, too home run dependent.
True. Some guys (SANO) were all or nothing. More nothing.

Do need to improve the averages. They stunk this year.

That's where some will be gone. Marwin is gone. Was horrid. Get Lewis going in that spot.

We'll see where the mindset is of the Falvine clan.
