Seattle just POUNDING da Bears.
That's simply a tough place to play.
The Seahawks will be a very tough out this year.

Sounds like it may not be as serious as it first appeared, but he'll undergo an MRI to confirm it. Depending on the severity of the injury, it's possible that he may not be able to play in the opening game vs. the Vikings.

End of the road time

If he is smart

Bradford's injury was worse than they first thought. He tore his ACL again and is out for the season.

It seems like there have been more season ending injuries in this preseason than is typical. Maybe I've just caught more stories on sports news than usual.

Bradford is scheduled to count $17,610,000 against this year's salary cap. His number for next year is a daunting $16,580,000.

Holy Cap Buster Batman

That joker stole money!

If they were to simply cut him, would all of that money be guaranteed? Wondering if the Rams would be better off cutting their losses at this point.

John Childress -> RE: General NFL Talk (8/25/2014 6:35:12 AM)

I am sure most of their bonus money has hit the cap

I bet they cut him

KNOCK ON WOOD.

None of those injuries have happened to the Vikings thusfar. LET'S KEEP IT THAT WAY!!

Trekgeekscott -> RE: General NFL Talk (8/25/2014 10:08:08 AM)

OK, He's referring to Russell Wilson's passes, specifically on deep balls, but still Richard Sherman sounds a little dirty on this one:

“His ball’s so good it looks like it’s coming out of a JUGS machine,” Richard Sherman said.

John Childress -> RE: General NFL Talk (8/25/2014 11:32:04 AM)

Wilson has played so well this preseason it is scary - scary in a bad way. I am afraid he is going to say that he is playing like a Jedi Knight!

Ha ha

From the belcher report (generally a poor source, but has an interesting chart this time):

John Childress -> RE: General NFL Talk (8/25/2014 4:36:20 PM)

Bradford has a career 79 QB rating

BUST!

Bill Jandro -> RE: General NFL Talk (8/26/2014 3:53:36 PM)

Bradfords injury has to sting in Stl. Poor chap might be done period. Certainly as a starter, he could maybe catch on as a backup if he is ever right again.

At least he is financially set while sipping martini's in the hot tub most of his NFL career.

bgdavis -> RE: General NFL Talk (8/26/2014 5:12:09 PM)

Hopefully he has good money management skills or a trustworthy manager for all that dough.

Steve Lentz -> RE: General NFL Talk (8/31/2014 11:39:13 AM)

Looks like the San Francisco may lose another member of their defensive line. Ray McDonald has been booked for domestic violence charges.

John Childress -> RE: General NFL Talk (8/31/2014 12:37:08 PM)

Seattle, the avionics capital of the world, should be glad to hear that the Seahawks, whose 420 pass attempts last season ranked 31st, will air it out in 2014. As one offensive lineman says: "We didn't draft two receivers in the first three picks, including a 4.3 speedster, if we didn't plan on throwing it more." That 4.3 speedster is Paul Richardson (second round), who has consistently beaten teammates for long TDs this offseason. He has the right quarterback on his side: Since 2012, Russell Wilson is one of four with a Total QBR of 99-plus on throws of 20 yards or more. Let it rain.

Why fix what wasn't broken? Run Lynch, play awesome D and let Wilson stay consistant...rinse/lather/repeat until someone stops you.

How in the hell did this man clear waivers??? If our 7th rounder played like this in the pre-season we would be anointing him the next Chris Doleman (as many teams/fans would)!

Seriously, I understand the rams being so deep at the position, but how in the hell does he clear waivers?

You have to adapt because defenses are adapting

in 2001 NE won the SB with a similar offense to 2013 Seattle

In 2002 they didn't make the playoffs using the same style

in 2003 and 2004 they opened up the offense and won 2 more SBs

I thought the same thing. I saw him play (limited but enough to form an opinion) and thought he looked pretty damn impressive. Granted, most of his time on the field was against scrubs but he still was dominating, at times.

This I agree with but they are hinting (and it could be a ruse) that they are going to try and light it up. IMO, that's a waste of Russell's talents. He's athletic and uber smart. Don't turn him in to what he is not. I've literally NEVER a QB make so many good decisions and so few bad. He's annoyingly efficient. [&:]

The NFL Network guys were all saying its because he can only play DE and doesn't contribute at all on Special Teams (too short for the blocking units, not fast enough for coverage). They don't think he's ready to provide help against #1 O-Lines, so he's not yet ready for a roster spot on a team.

I am not buying that. I think the owners chickened out.

He showed enough in the preseason to be on SOMEONE's 53 man roster.

I have seen guys much slower than him on ST. I think this is a cop out
