Daniel Jones Waived by Giants..

Yeesh..
That guy has his expectations way over his ability to deliver.

Former New York Jets coach Rex Ryan, scheduled to interview Tuesday for the team's head coaching vacancy, is convinced he will land the job.

If it happens, he says he will put an end to the Aaron Rodgers "country club."

Ryan, appearing Monday morning on ESPN New York radio, ripped the future Hall of Famer for skipping the team's mandatory minicamp last June to take a vacation to Egypt. He also criticized the organization's "abysmal" leadership for condoning it.

"Clearly, when you have a guy that doesn't show up for mandatory minicamp -- and, by the way, he's your quarterback, coming off an injury -- I think that's an absolutely ridiculous message you send to the team," Ryan said during a spot on the "DiPietro & Rothenberg Show."

"If he comes back, things would be different. If he's back, it ain't gonna be the country club, show up whenever the hell you want to show up. That ain't gonna happen. I'll just leave it at that," Ryan said.

Love to hear when people in high positions in football are willing to talk about Rodger's idiocy. He's always been this way, but when you can throw a ball 40 yards and hit a guy's outstretched arms, teams are willing to put up with all kinds of crap.

Browns QB Deshaun Watson has surgery after tearing Achilles again

During his season-ending exit interview earlier this week, Watson complained of discomfort after rolling his ankle while in Miami. A subsequent MRI revealed a "re-rupture to his Achilles tendon," the team said. Watson met Thursday with Dr. Robert Anderson before undergoing the surgery.

Watson, 29, initially tore his Achilles Oct. 20, marking the second straight year his season ended because of injury. He also missed the final eight games of the 2023 season after undergoing surgery to his throwing shoulder.

Watson has two years remaining on the five-year, fully guaranteed $230 million deal he signed before the 2022 season. The Browns owe Watson $46 million in each of the next two seasons and he has cap hits of $72.9 million in 2025 and 2026, currently the second highest in the NFL. Watson has played in just 19 games since the Browns traded three first-round picks for him in March 2022. He posted the lowest Total QBR in the NFL before his season-ending injury.

The Browns and Watson in late December agreed to rework his contract, adding void years that allow the Browns to push out his dead salary cap into 2030, league sources told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

Deshawn Watson knows how to bend a lot of things over…

He and KFC, laugh all the way into rehab, then to the bank..

Ravens' Justin Tucker accused of inappropriate sexual behavior by six massage therapists

Ravens kicker Justin Tucker engaged in inappropriate behavior at four high-end spas and wellness centers in the Baltimore region, according to six massage therapists, including exposing his genitals, brushing two of them with his exposed penis, and leaving what they believed to be ejaculate on the massage table after three of his treatments.

Several therapists said Tucker’s behavior was so egregious that they ended his sessions early or refused to work on him again. And, at two spas, management said they banned him from returning.

Whoa, that’s seriously disturbing if true. Definitely something that needs a full and fair investigation. No one should have to deal with that kind of behavior in their workplace, especially in a setting built on trust like massage therapy.

Todd M -> RE: Around the NFL news (5/13/2025 1:28:31 AM)

Massage therapists in the states are way to overdramatic. Don't tell me you're "emotionally scarred bc you seen a penis.

Todd M -> RE: Around the NFL news (5/13/2025 1:50:49 AM)

Problematic behavior is what happens when your advances are rejected.

Surely his advances were successful sometimes.

If I was a MT I would have a firm line and I would halt the massage the second I seen any BS and reported it. Occupational Hazzard. The amount they're scarred is directly proportionate to how much they think they can get.

Trekgeekscott -> RE: Around the NFL news (7/8/2025 2:24:22 PM)

Something that I found interesting.

In 1970 there were only two players drafted that ended up in the HOF.

Both on the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Terry Bradshaw and Mel Blount.

Football is back!

My depression is going down..

Lions still suck!

Trekgeekscott -> RE: Around the NFL news (9/3/2025 10:58:04 AM)

OK. the NFL season is upon us.

So it's time for my anual pulled straight out of my butt predictions for 2025

We'll start with the AFC

AFC East, Jets, Dolphins, Bills, Patriots.

Jets. committing to Justin Fields as your starting QB just feels like trying to lose. I could be wrong but not really impressed with this team. New Coaching staff, New QB, Not expecting much.

Dolphins will look good initially but then injuries to Tua (another concussion?) Hill, etc and this team implodes again.

Patriots will be better under Vrabel. They will play tougher and more disciplined. But still in transition, not going to be great this year.

Bills, It's still their division to lose.

AFC South, Texans, Colts, Titans, Jaguars

Seriously, does anyone thing anybody but the Texans are going to win this division?

Colts are a mess.

Titans with a rookie QB and not much else to speak well about.

Jaguars if Lawrence can play well might surprise people, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Texans are the only team in this division positioned to play well this year.

AFC West, Chiefs, Raiders, Broncos, Chargers

Chiefs are king until someone knocks them off the pedestal.

Only team with a chance to do it IMHO is the Chargers

Raiders will be improved, which isn't saying much but Pete Carroll is a very good coach

Broncos under Sean Payton... Need I say more? Payton without Brees is nothing special imho.

Finally AFC North. Ravens, Steelers, Bengals, Browns.

Let's face it, the Browns will probably suck pretty badly

Steelers will be Rodgers swan song and will flounder

Bengals will score a lot of points, they will have to because they don't invest in their defense.

Ravens the most well rounded team here.

AFC Playoffs
Division winners Ravens, Chargers, Texans, Bills

1 seed is Ravens

Wild Cards Chiefs, Bengals, Raiders

Wild card round
Chargers beat Raiders
Bills beat Bengals
Chiefs beat Texans

division round
Ravens beat Chargers
Chiefs beat Bills

AFC Championship
Ravens beat Chiefs

Now for the NFC

NFC South, Buccaneers, Panthers, Saints, Falcons

Panthers just traded one of their best offensive weapons away, they KNOW they are not competing this year.

Saints, New Coach, Up in the air QB position, I just don't see them competing.

Falcons, Slight chance of success, but all on the shoulders of Penix? Good Luck

This is Bucs division to lose by a long shot.

NFC East - Commanders, Giants, Cowblys, Eagles

Commanders - will take a step back but will be very competitive. Daniels is the real deal at QB

Giants - destined to suck. the Dart era will begin sooner rather than later.

Cowboys - will find new and exciting ways to disappoint their fans.

That leaves the Eagles, the defending NFL Champs, and nobody is knocking them off the pedestal in this division.

NFC West - Rams, 49ers, Seahawks, Cardinals

Golly, there is a lot of suck here.

49ers should bounce back a bit, but have lost a lot of talent in the past couple years and Christian McCaffrey can't stay on the field. and they are too one dimensional if he's out.

Seahawks are going to regret paying Darnold all that money.

Cardinals - Committed way too much money to Murray.

Rams - I see them winning the division again. McVay is just too good a coach and they have some good talent.

NFC NORTH - Bears, Lions, Packers, Vikings

Bears - New coach, struggling QB, but will be better than last year. wont be the clusterfuck that 2024 was.

Packers - Overrated. Clap clap... clap clap clap

Lions - Lose Starting C on that Oline, Lose OC and DC. They have a lot of talent and it's still their division until someone takes it from them, but they will take a big step back this year IMHO.

Vikings. Purple shades time now. The Vikings had big weaknesses on the Dline and Oline, fixed them. They will have amazing set of skill position players. The pass rush this year is going to be devastating. Only an unproven QB and lack of depth in the secondary could hold this team back. And by all reports about JJ, I am not worried about the QB.

Division winners
Rams, Eagles, Bucs and Vikings!

Wild Cards, Lions, Packers, and Commanders

1 seed - Vikings!

First round Lions beat Rams
Bucs beat Commanders
Eagles beat Packers

Division round
Lions beat Eagles
Vikings beat Bucs

NFC Championship
Vikings beat Lions

Superbowl Vikings win over the Ravens in the first all purple superbowl.
