Ferris State wins 2-1. Good game, other than the 5-minute major by Mankato late in the game. Didn't help Mankato that it was basically a home game for Ferris. But at least there was atmosphere in the arena.

This SCSU/UMD game on CBSSN does not look like actual HD. It's blurry.

If Duluth loses this game, they're really gonna be on the bubble for the tourney. Will either be last team in or first team out, I think.

The St. Cloud goalie is just too good.

The announcers are speculating that Duluth will grab the final spot in the NCAA tourney.

This mornings Strib article says the Gophers lose gives the Bulldogs the final spot....ouch. Even though I'm a Gopher fan first, I have to admit the Bulldogs are more deserving this season.

It's a shame that the Gophers couldn't get into the NCAA playoffs. However, only one big ten team made the field and only one WCHA team made the field. The WCHA was the best college hockey conference in the country, but was broken up by greed and the Big 10 Network. The best teams in the WCHA moved into the NCHC and that Conference has 4 teams in the field St. Cloud, N. Dakota, Denver, and UMD. The Gophers should be playing in the WCHA with all these schools.

Hoping that this is the season St. Cloud wins their first National title. They've been to a couple frozen fours recently. Second best team regular season. Time to hang the National Championship Banner at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center.

UND, UMD, SCSU, Denver. All NCHC. The best college hockey conference in the nation. I would not be surprised at all if UMD knocks off defending champion and #1 regional seed Providence.

My Alma Mater man. We have had some good teams but this is the first one I truly believe can win it all. We are officially the #2 seed but in listening to the experts talk we are the favorites.
On the other hand it's hockey and I know we could lose in the first round.

NCHC looking good today. UND with a 6-2 win over the "Hottest" team in college hockey. UMD tied with Providence and outshooting them so far.
