Does every sports venue in the upper midwest other than those in the Twin Cities have Sanford's name attached? Still can't believe that Sanford built that hospital in Bemidji when no need existed.

Our new BB arena at USD will be named Sanford.

The guy who made his billions by screwing the poor with his extreme credit card rates, issued from a state with no usury laws.

Was half surprised we weren't enjoying ourself at SanFord Wild Wings the other day.
Ya know, just off Denny Drive and Sanford Way.

Looking at Quinnipiac's roster. They are in the finals for the NCAA's and they are no strangers there. I see a lot of their players are from all over, but most of them had some experience in Canadian (is it Junior) Hockey leagues. In other words, they were like professionals as teenagers focusing on their hockey skills. Is that right and any comments?

Hoping Quiinipiac is this years IT team.
Those that lately have done very well.
Loaded with older, tougher, experienced and focused young men.
Gophers ran into a bunch of those the last couple years, few scholarships, but lots of focus and determination.
They are the only thing standing between us and an off-season of insufferable Sue bragging.
Pray for them with all your might people. Pray for them.

I will root for Dakota. I have a kinship with them and I can relate to their situation that their hockey team is the only game in town. Wait. They were good in college football, too, weren't they? When I worked in (South) Dakota I told everyone that it felt to me they were like America used to be with old fashioned values. I won't hold it against them that they are proud of their team and I wish them well.

I'll be rooting from the NW Chapter of Sioux, Sue, Fighting Hawk Nation.
Now that Hack-Stall is gone, I expect a UND win.

The NCHC is currently the best conference in college hockey and my school SCSU plays in it. Part of me wants N. Dakota to win representing our conference other part of me wants them to lose so they don't gain any additional recruiting advantage. In the end I hate North Dakota. Go Quinnipiac.

According to this link, they have a few Minnesota players, but none of them came directly from high school. I guess that's how the great teams win these days.

Hey.....I hate that bastard Nazi loving Ralph Engelstad. I went to games not in the Ralph but in the old winter sports arena. When Gino was coaching them.

And than a great coach in Dean Blais. We had that period with that bum Hakstol but the ship has now been righted.

Just remember all you Gopher hockey fans........and I have been one as long as I have pulled for UND...........remember when after Herb Brooks, they were coached by that idiot Brad Buetow. Talent up the wazooo and his teams failed to win it all.

Just watched the 1st and 2nd periods on my new DVR. UND a lot of dirty play. Oh well. It works for them.
