I've noticed that anytime UND is on the line of getting in or not, they always get it. Wasn't there even a time when they bypassed a team with a better Pairwise ranking and put UND into the tourney instead?

SCSU wins tonight and gets a Sweep next week they should be in the tourney regardless of the NCHC tourney. I think an NCHC finals would lock SCSU into the tourney unless they collapse to end the regular season.

Where is drew? Good to see Wilkins between the pipes tonight. No reason to risk injury to Bitzer in a meaningless game. Could have said the same thing about last night. But had to keep him sharp by playing at least one game this weekend. I have heard zero buzz about the Hobey Baker this year. I CANNOT imagine there's a better college hockey player out there this year. It should be Bitzer. But let me guess.....not one of the shining programs of D1 hockey...need someone from one of them there pretty schools. F that. Bitzer should get SERIOUS consideration. But I haven't heard a peep.

Not a lot of effort from either side in this meaningless BSU-MSU game.

Announcer just said "Quiet building" and immediately said "Sorry!," as in it's in the contract that he can't say something like that. Very weird.

If it's quiet and you say the truth, why should he feel he has to backtrack? I hate that. Tell it like it is.

We get Northern Michigan next weekend in the playoffs. I would have preferred Lake Superior State for sure.

You going to the games next weekend, drew? I'd love to be able to swing it, but pretty busy this time of year.

The Women Beaves (cannot imagine the grief they get) .... are giving our once-invincible Goph women, fits.
Odd to see the Gopher girls struggling with everyone this season.
Used to be UCONNish.

SCSU loses on Saturday to CC which is flat out a horrible loss after a 5-2 win on Friday. They will have to at minimum Make the NCHC finals to advance to the NCAA playoffs.

Why am I not surprised that Bemidji is the only WCHA favorite that didn't sweep into the next round? It's do or die tonight.

I don't know about that, it looks to me like they will need to win the tourney to get in now. Right now they are sitting at 18 in pairwise, which puts them out of the running for an at large bid. That means winning the automatic bid by taking the conference tourney title.

I was there Friday, and Matt was there Saturday. If we went on the same night, we probably would have won 8-0.

I just read through the posts for this season. This was a fun year, and talking about it with you guys on here made it way better. Thanks for the back and forth, info, and laughs.

What did you think of Sanford?

Sanford Center is great! Exceeded my expectations, and I had set my bar pretty high. Clean and classy concourse with good selection of concession food and beer. The coffee bar is a nice touch - but my wife said her Chai Latte was not very good...maybe just got a bad one. Nice pro shop...tried on a bunch of stuff and bought a hoodie. I was like a kid in a candy store the whole night. Gerry got us excited right away with the early goal. Too bad we played like we wanted to win 1-0 after that. I was a little afraid when we pulled in that it was gonna be sold out (crazy thought, I know), but the parking lot was SO FULL. What would they do if they actually DID sell out? I'm not seeing how there's enough parking spaces, unless I'm missing something. Anyway, loved the facility. Will definitely look forward to returning.

And the burgers at that place that used to be Smiley's Bar....OUTSTANDING! Can't recall what the place is called now. 219 Bar or something? It's only like a block from where we used to live. We lived above what is now a comic book store. Used to be Breakers Pool Hall.

You're close, 209 Bar. They do have good food.

We're meeting up for a game next year, no excuses. We should be solid again next year in Bitzer's last year.
