Best commercial....the little blue pill.

My favorite as well. I drive a 500L, so I got a kick out of it.

TJSweens -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (2/2/2015 10:40:08 AM)

Johnny Football just entered treatment.

SoMnFan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (2/2/2015 10:42:09 AM)

Thought the Brosnan one was clever.
Wasn't blown away by any
Trejo was fantastic of course.

MDK -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (2/2/2015 10:45:51 AM)

Snickers was pretty good.

But I always love the Budweiser ones with the Clydesdales.

Damn ... I'm starting to forget a lot of things lately.
Good catch

Except for the Red Sox AND THE PACKERS

[:D]

[&:][&:]

How could we forget??????????

Although the Packers haven't really had all that much success over the last 15 years in the big picture. 1 SB, 1 SB appearance. That's one too many for my liking, but it's no big deal. Seriously, they've won 2 SB's since 1967. That's Twins-like.

I'm not bitter or anything...[:D]

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (2/2/2015 3:54:54 PM)

The @patriots-@seahawks drew 114.4 million viewers, the most-watched show in U.S. television history.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (2/2/2015 4:13:25 PM)

Apparently Sherman will need TJ surgery on his elbow.

Not a common NFL thing. Wonder if he'll miss any time.

Probably not.

He doesn't need to throw a ball. just flail his arms around and tackle guys.
The only question will be how strong his arm is by the start of the season.

djskillz -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (2/3/2015 10:37:26 AM)

Really the only thing that will effect Sherman is if his gums/mouth are hurt.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (2/3/2015 10:47:53 AM)

Dang! There goes that option to lateral after an INT.

"My arm! I can't lateral!!"

Is common, however, for loudmouths who constantly pat themselves on the back.
(abnormal movement)

You'd think a rotator cuff or shoulder blade would be more common in this case.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (2/3/2015 11:47:59 AM)

With the season and TV broadcasts over, I wonder who is the biggest commentator/suck up.

Gruden and Collinsworth are in the top 5 for me. Slobber / fawn over guys constantly.

MDK -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (2/3/2015 11:59:12 AM)

So the Carl's Jr. commercial features Charlotte McKinney promoting the All Natural burger.........seems rather ironic when Charlotte doesn't appear to be all natural herself. However, turns out she is all natural at least from most news reports on the commercial which went viral.

Reminds me of a great Seinfeld episode......

Great commercial. The new Kate Upton. I wonder how many regions the commercial was censored from. It certainly was in Nashville.

it wasn't shown in my market either..

too suggestive, i guess, for a "family show"..[&o]

what kills me even more, is all the flack Nationwide is getting for this...

Well, that and the Nissan one were both bad IMO.

"Your kid is going to die, but don't worry; we'll be there to give you money afterwards."

"It's okay that I, your dad, wasn't there for your whole life. Because now I came back and am giving you a car."

No........I didn't get that he was giving him a car.....I think he traded in his Nissan race car for a Nissan family car.....he retired for racing, well before he had to because it finally hit him what he was missing out on.

The Nationwide should get people to think but when you go to there website and see accidental deaths in the home, they punk out on accidental deaths by guns.....I don't get the flak nationwide is getting.....if anything, they should get flak for not including accidental gun deaths in their list.

Can't piss off too many of their potential customer base.

A really good commercial was the call to 911 asking for pizza delivery.....reenactment of an actual call.
Maybe the NFL should have seen this before they made their initial decision on Ray Rice.

Daniel Lee Young -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (2/3/2015 6:56:48 PM)

The nationwide and the "like a girl" and the nomore/911 call type of commercials SHOULD be run during the Superbowl.

They are flat out public service announcement type adverts and thought provoking concepts that need a mainstream stage, no matter how many drunken redneck hicks get "upset that it ruined my party mood"...

awww poor baby.. your brain had to actually deal with an uncomfortable topic and your buzz got killed...

I say GOOD!

I hope that trend continues.

I did love the Clydesdale/puppy VS wolf one a lot, too.

djskillz -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (2/3/2015 11:12:28 PM)

I actually agree with you, Dan, and think the likeagirl one was very, very good. I just didn't get the same message from the Nationwide commercial. It rang hollow to me. Like a scare tactic to buy insurance, as if that would help ease the pain on losing a child. That's all. That was my issue with it, not the message itself, which obviously we could all be more careful, etc.

I think Nationwide should stick to the hot chick in leather doing cart wheels and back flips around the house.

OK I probably shared too much there.

The only problem people have with the "Nationwide" commercial is who had the balls to run it..

If that same commercial had been run by the Child Welfare and Safety Council, it would be taken much differently.

The message would be exactly the same, it's just perceived as a shill for "insurance", because of who sponsored it.

Which completely misses the point.

I have a three, almost four year old child, and a wife who is less "aware" of the consequences of the responsibility and vigilance needed around a curious, imitating, and reckless child.

She is 16 years my junior and I can tell she was raised differently by the way she is too trusting and careless about the way she lets our daughter do things with minimal supervision.

The commercial was meant to be a wake up call for slovenly parenting.

If it prevents even one accidental tragedy, all the flack they get is worth it, IMO.
