Ouch Murf .... Washingtons legit this year.

But, staying at the Hilton, no kids, buddies in town and ones that live there.
The Game, we'll see...12 in a row against them, Freshman QB likely to make his first start,
I'll drink it fun if need be.

Best attitude to take.

What moron has two thumbs, and sat David Johnson last night?

GET ON BOARD PEOPLE

bstinger -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/9/2016 5:05:28 PM)

I've always been on board, just too busy to post in game. That is a real football team with a real DF and a real QB, and a real HC in a real stadium with a real chant. Theilen and Sherrells continue to produce. Patterson keeps showing up more than expected. Love his effort on special teams and the tough running after contact. Griff was robbed on the offsides call. That was perfect timing.

Gotta get/stay healthier.

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/9/2016 5:23:12 PM)

2 biggest stars of the game were local boys who weren't high draft picks. Pretty nice scouting by RS on those 2. MS has quietly become a main cog on this team.

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/9/2016 5:56:12 PM)

That game was over as soon as Sam dropped that ball in to AT's mitts for the TD. I knew it and you better believe Houston knew it. Just unreal how good we are on ST's and D. The O is starting to catch up. It's very exciting.

I hope Norv is setting is up but if they could just have 1 successful pass play out of that "wildcat" with Jet as the QB, that would change that formation for the good. The D would have to honor 3 different options.

SoMnFan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/9/2016 5:57:41 PM)

Hear hear.
STs have been damn-near as dominant as our D

SoMnFan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/9/2016 5:59:08 PM)

As you said ... when your gunner is that big and that fast, its going to create havoc in their return game.

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/9/2016 6:09:25 PM)

Yup, there was one punt (maybe our 2nd??) where he didn't get down quick enough to make the initial stop. It looked like they may have a nice little return and he turned on the jets and caught the guy from behind. It was pure hustle. I give CP a lot of props. He is earning his time.

Tough as hell too when he has the ball in his hands. People clown on it but our WR core is becoming a huge bright spot.

CP coming on
Diggs is Diggs
AT has put all the other sunglass companies out of bidness
Wright catches everything thrown his way

It's becoming a solid 1-4 even if the don't follow the defined 1-4 pedigree.

Patterson is starting to show up on more than kick off returns. That's very big for this team.

I was at fall softball this afternoon. had to go check the score between innings(no cell along).

I'm hooked. In for the long hall/long fall. They're very very very good right now.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/9/2016 10:28:08 PM)

LOL

Like has been said ad nauseam here; Thielen is an OK 3rd WR, not a guy that should be going 7-120-1.

Well, with a real QB, even an "ok 3rd WR" can have a big day.

Edelman was never supposed to be more than the "OK" type of WR. Beasley in Dallas, who is having a good year with a non-Romo QB, the same.

It's just so dismissive to say he's an ok 3rd wr. Why can't he be more??

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/10/2016 6:32:34 AM)

“When you lose Adrian, that kind of changed things a little bit. You’ve seen more spread. You’ve seen more of the gun runs. You’ve seen more of quick-gain passes from the shotgun.”
—Minnesota quarterback Sam Bradford, in a prescient and smart comment about the difference in the Minnesota offense, and a big factor why they’re 5-0. They’re not dedicated to making one player, the injured Adrian Peterson, the focal point of what they do on offense.

DAMN him for going 7-120-1

I'd swear there are "experts" who'd rather see him (and us) fail.

I love Bradfords wide-eyed responses ... "we've got tons of talent, tons of weapons, guys who MAKE PLAYS" (when asked how a guy like THIELEN could ever go 7-120-1)

It's not even like Thielen is some scrawny wimpy WR

6'3"/200 lbs

If he runs the 40 in 4.3 or 4.4, it probably would be different.

SoMnFan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/10/2016 7:18:51 AM)

Its AMAZING how Bradford hits people in the seams of the defense, he lays balls into places we haven't ventured before.
The guy has a tremendous touch and throws a beautiful, easily-catchable ball.
If you get an inch of separation, he will get it to you. All you gotta do is catch the damn thing.

SoMnFan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/10/2016 7:21:40 AM)

Norv went from a 4.2 on the 1-100 OC scale, to about a 92.6, in 3 short weeks.
Simply by NOT deferring an entire offense to one guys needs.
Another amazing revelation, sad it had to be FORCED upon them, before they figured it out.
