Its AMAZING how Bradford hits people in the seams of the defense, he lays balls into places we haven't ventured before.
The guy has a tremendous touch and throws a beautiful, easily-catchable ball.
If you get an inch of separation, he will get it to you. All you gotta do is catch the damn thing.

Gotta keep him upright. It's paramount to the season. As much as we've lost we simply can't lose him for more than a game or 2. The D/ST's and Hill can win 1-2 but we won't go far with him. It's really that simple at this point.

LOL

Like has been said ad nauseam here; Thielen is an OK 3rd WR, not a guy that should be going 7-120-1.

Well, with a real QB, even an "ok 3rd WR" can have a big day.

Edelman was never supposed to be more than the "OK" type of WR. Beasley in Dallas, who is having a good year with a non-Romo QB, the same.

It's just so dismissive to say he's an ok 3rd wr. Why can't he be more??

DAMN him for going 7-120-1
[&:][&:][&:]
I'd swear there are "experts" who'd rather see him (and us) fail.

I love Bradfords wide-eyed responses ... "we've got tons of talent, tons of weapons, guys who MAKE PLAYS" (when asked how a guy like THIELEN could ever go 7-120-1)

It's not even like Thielen is some scrawny wimpy WR

6'3"/200 lbs

If he runs the 40 in 4.3 or 4.4, it probably would be different.

I haven't checked out the Vikings forum yet. I can only assume Hoiseth is despondent over the performance of Shades Louganis.

SoMnFan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/10/2016 9:47:22 AM)

One of the unique and cool things to me is that Thielen and Patterson are by all accounts the closest two buds on the team.
Constantly together, working on their games.
CPatt supposedly admires Thielens work ethic and drive, and Thielen admires Pattersons talent and versatility.
This is how teammates are supposed to be. And for it to be the two guys who probably take each others pt ... just tells you how much they all see what could be ... here.

I look forward to a 4 WR set of

Diggs
Thielen
Patterson
Treadwell

At some point. Please.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/10/2016 9:50:29 AM)

The punt coverage needs a little help.

The offensive line needs help, and health.

2 of the areas that need the most help, IMO

I'd roll wit that four as well.
Sam seems to love the idea.

Almost seems as if some equate Thielen to Fruechte(who I think is NOT all that), or Chris Walsh.

Just don't get it. Why wouldn't you want a guy like Thielen to have success?

Apparently it matters to some of these folks because of $ in fantasy ball.

I could care less. I put zero money on fantasy FB, so big deal.

It could be Thielen/Johnson(who I'm still not that enamored with)/Ham/Ellison.

JUST WIN BABY

+1
Thielen 50 was timed in the 4.49-4.58s....Chris (in his day) & Fruechte couldn't run anywhere near that fast. Fruechte has been as low as 4.5 but Thielen has been timed as low as 4.39.
CPatt's 50 was timed in 4.23-4.43 range.

Gotta love Sams reaction when he found out Thielen wasn't drafted.

Vikings quarterback Sam Bradford has been on a crash course to learn about his new teammates since being acquired last month. What he found about wide receiver Adam Thielen surprised him.

“How a guy like that goes undrafted, it’s kind of hard to believe,’’ Bradford said after Sunday’s 31-13 win over Houston at U.S. Bank Stadium.

First time I met him in the locker room, I thought for sure he was a visiting vendor, you know, one of those guys selling sunglasses.

Then I heard his top end was probably being OK as a 3rd WR, so I decided to stop throwing the ball to him.

Somehow he still got open and the ball went that way. I'll make sure it won't happen again, so no one is pissed he's doing well.

SoMnFan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/10/2016 2:18:43 PM)

We must read the same stories. [:D]

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/10/2016 2:25:42 PM)

So Jake Long was worked out today. Nothing done yet.

Again, not standing pat, despite 5-0, trying to improve where possible.

at the end of July

Jake Long will not join the Baltimore Ravens.

Despite agreeing to terms on a contract earlier this week, Long declined to sign an injury waiver with the Ravens and thus will remain a free agent, the offensive tackle told ESPN's Adam Schefter in a text Friday.

Long played just 11 snaps over four games with the Atlanta Falcons in 2015 after suffering ACL tears to his right knee in back-to-back seasons4

Long passed an exit physical with the Falcons in January and another conducted by Dr. James Andrews this week, per Schefter.

Last month, the 31-year-old tackle insisted he was "finally healthy."

"This is the healthiest and best I've felt in probably about five, six years," Long said. "My knee's back. I've just been working out, feeling good and ready for the opportunity when it comes along."

By not agreeing to sign a waiver, that opportunity will not be in Baltimore.

He's 31

See what you have.
IMO, guys out there looking to win are probably more interested in MN than ever.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/10/2016 4:17:38 PM)

Looks like Sirles is the RT for a bit longer. Or Clemmings moves back there.

Andre Smith’s tenure with the Vikings might end up being a short one.

The veteran right tackle, who was signed to a one-year contract last offseason, will undergo surgery to repair the triceps he injured last week against the Giants. Coach Mike Zimmer said Monday that Smith will be placed on injured reserve, meaning his season is almost certainly finished.

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/11/2016 7:37:15 AM)

I would bring in Long and 1 other vet that can man multiple positions. At this point we need as many bodies as possible.

The more studs, the better. Bring him in.

A true stud most of his life.
Blocked for Bradford before with the Rams.
Hell of a pedigree.
As Ed said yesterday, lots of winners want to join the club here, nothing wrong with that.

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/11/2016 7:58:10 AM)

It's just like the Kick Ass era except lots of winners want to join the club.
