Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/24/2016 3:51:16 PM)

Didn't jump off Kyle [:D]

Just really concerned. Tackles are not good on this line right now.

Scheme differently.

Knew I'd get too emotionally invested. After the Sherels fumble, I shut it off. Walked the dog, making sure it was over when I got back.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/24/2016 3:52:43 PM)

I can see Zimmer puckering up again.

Next week, if they get in the same situation,3rd and goal from, say the 6, and the game is not on the line(as in 1st Q)

Running play, or some "safe" pass.

Kick the FG if you don't score.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/24/2016 3:54:18 PM)

Bad thing about that whole scenario.

Sendejo runs into the pile on his INT.

He takes 2 steps to his left, he walks into the end zone.

Zero vision. I was yelling at him to cut left.

Dangit, he didn't listen.

Love me some Kyle Rudolph tweets
"Don't hurt yourself jumping off the wagon".

Yeah whatever. He should shut his hole. Football fans have made him a very rich man. Hate when players go after the fans.

I'm touched he was worried about us. Except for you. He hopes you suffer a gruesome injury while bailing like a schoolgirl. 😀

McMurfy -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/24/2016 3:59:04 PM)

Yeah, but you need the occassional back to Earth game.

Need better Offense though.

Whole draft should be playmakers and Olinemen

Shoulda had two D TDs yesterday minimum. And today we'd be 6-0 and rolling. ''Tis what it is

I'm thinking he meant the media.

I quit watching at halftime. Figured I just watched 90 minutes of garbage, I'm not going to put myself through another 90 minutes. Went out and did a few jobs, came back in at 4:00 still not knowing the outcome and fast forwarded through the rest in about 15 minutes. Smartest thing I did all day.

I get that in the heat of the moment, it can be difficult to tell where everyone is - especially behind you. But its rare to have this much room between you and everyone else. Even if he bobbles it picking it up and falls on his face, Smith is scooping it up 1 second later.

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/24/2016 5:27:18 PM)

And if Smith flubs it, Joeseph and if he flubs it Johnson and if he flubs it Griff ect......[X(]

Black 47 -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/24/2016 6:42:43 PM)

In all honesty you could say that was the game right there. Barr scores there and the pressure is taken off the offense and everything changes. I'm going to change the way I look at plays like that. I've always thought play it safe, fall on it and secure the ball. But with a defense like this I say gamble away. Try to scoop that thing up and run. And if you flub it who cares? Force them into a punt, or better yet force another fumble or interception. Amazing defenses like this should gamble on plays like that. Hopefully Barr learned a lesson.

Bingo.
Same philosophy here.
This is a bunch of killers. Have fun. Pick up fumbles and PLAN on scoring. Work on interception returns. Practice laterals. You're the big dogs on this team, some days itrs gonna be all you. Plan on it being that way.

I was fortunate, worked nights, slept thru it. got up and checked the score and wasn't shocked to tell you the truth.
Knew we'd stub our toes a few times.
We never do anything easy here, no time to start now.

Watched the replay, wasn't as depressing as it must have been in real time. Very winnable game, just got away from us.

I hate Ray Lewis with a passion but that's exactly what he said during their heyday. They would practice scoring on D and it would piss of their offense but he didn't care.

MarkWren -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/25/2016 6:31:38 PM)

Those old enough to remember will recall that's EXACTLY how the Purple Gang did things throughout the late 60's and well into the 70's. They lateralled all the time, got the dang ball into the end zone with stunning regularity. Special teams too. Blocked more kicks than any franchise, anywhere, ever. Scored on lot of those, too. Great teams have a swashbuckler's mentality. Expect to score. Do it with flair.

SoMnFan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/25/2016 7:22:03 PM)

When the Patriots have lost the first game of the year to a division opponent, the second time around they are 7-0 with a 28-point differential.
Greatest coach in my lifetime. Not listening to any arguments otherwise. [:D]

Hard to argue.
With all kinds of different personnel, albeit one pretty good and one great QB for the most part.

But I think he could have even made Ponder great.

I know

I know.

Brady may now be the greatest QB ever to play as well. I 'll listen about Montana, but Brady takes a back seat to no one.
