We live in sports hell. But atleast we have a great climate to fall back on. Our winters are mild and our summers aren't humid and miserable. And most important thank GOD we don't have a mosquito problem.

our women are strong and our men are handsome ...

And our children are all above average.....

And our amplifiers go to 11.

As CPA was alluding to ... that little weasel kicker standing there after the game ANGRY because he gets asked the same questions.
Someone should have grabbed him by the short hairs and waltzed him on his tippy toes out the door.
To be that bad, at your only job, and then to get uppity about it afterwards?
Bigger balls than heart (or brain) obviously.

Keeeeeck the touchdown, clown, and keep your mouth shut.

Alex Karas was one funny dude. Mongo like Candy

The Minnesota Vikings are set to work out kickers this week following the continued struggles of Blair Walsh, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL.com, citing sources.

According to the report, the Vikings will eat Walsh's salary this season, with his $1.65 million salary being dead money in 2017. The names of those being worked out by the Vikings are currently unknown.

Mike Zimmer said the Vikings will work out kickers on Tuesday, after Blair Walsh's missed extra point and blocked kick on Sunday. It remains to be seen whether the Vikings sign a kicker, but Zimmer said the Vikings need to look at their options given how many close games they play. Asked if he thinks Walsh can still be successful in Minnesota this season, Zimmer said, "I think Blair can still be a successful kicker, yes."

sixthwi -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (11/13/2016 12:55:10 PM)

Packers and Vikings suddenly two of the worst teams in the NFL.

bstinger -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (11/13/2016 1:39:23 PM)

We should start going for 2 every time.

sixthwi -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (11/13/2016 2:04:28 PM)

Never mind - I guess it's just the Packers who really, really suck.

bstinger -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (11/13/2016 2:16:02 PM)

We suck when we need a yard.

MDK -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (11/13/2016 2:22:43 PM)

Can they cut Blair Walsh after this game?

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (11/13/2016 2:33:25 PM)

Out coached by Jay Cruden. Let that sink in [:-]

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (11/13/2016 2:58:34 PM)

My God. How does a team go from being a "SB contender" to one that is going to get a pretty high draft pick (that we don't even own anymore)?

bstinger -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (11/13/2016 3:04:25 PM)

We aren't nearly as good as we thought we might be.

OL was a weakness coming in and it wasn't addressed and it's only gotten weaker with injury. Can't run or pass with no O line. This is on Spielman.

What has happened to Anthony Barr? Disappeared. Harrison Smith, non-factor. The defense in general very pedestrian. Alexander hasn't been any good when he does get on the field.

1st round pick inactive again. None of this years picks are contributing in a significant way.

Diggs had a good game, Rudolph was good too, otherwise I can't say much about any of them. Zimmer isn't any kind of genius.

MDK -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (11/13/2016 3:11:18 PM)

Vikings suck....what else is new.

MarkWren -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (11/13/2016 4:49:12 PM)

Typically this time of year, I go into most weekends thinking we'll (MN teams) win about half or just a bit more than half of our sporting events that particular weekend. This one? A complete wipe-out.

Vikes.
Gophers FB
Wild (with a chance to lose yet again today, in Ottawa, where we rarely play well)

Just a bummer of a weekend. I feel terrible for the Vikes in particular, who simply are being ravaged by injuries this year. Never seen anything like it. Now backup OL are going on IR. Two all-pro LB'ers knock each other out on a single play. (One returns, playing with only 1 arm). When, oh when, will the sun finally shine upon our fair state?

bstinger -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (11/15/2016 10:57:18 AM)

Walsh released. No word on replacement.

SoMnFan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (11/15/2016 10:57:59 AM)

A dude off the street, hopefully

TJSweens -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (11/15/2016 11:05:28 AM)

I saw Randy Moss kick one from the same distance Walsh choked from in the playoffs with plenty to spare. And in expensive loafers no less. Plus, he kicked it old school. None of this soccer style crap.

FINALLY

MDK -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (11/15/2016 11:18:50 AM)

never ever give a long term contract to a kicker or punter unless they are Adam Vinatieri in his prime or Ray Guy.

Our kicker from USD is 14 -18 in field goals and 38-38 in PAT's. And this is a down year for him. He has always been over 50 % on field goals of 50 + yards and he is at an FCS program.

Most high school kickers could have made the FG Walsh missed in the playoffs.

MDK -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (11/15/2016 11:21:20 AM)

Our kicker is also our punter and has a 47 yard average this season. And to quote Torii Hunter, he doesn't even have his man muscles yet.[;)]
