Sam will be well rested and fresh for the SB push at the end.

We have to get there first and I am not sure Case is the guy to get us there.

SoMnFan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (9/29/2017 12:45:07 PM)

Sigh

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (9/29/2017 6:44:47 PM)

LOL

McMurfy -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (9/29/2017 6:57:19 PM)

Might as well get used to these names

Quarterbacks

Seniors

1. Mason Rudolph, Oklahoma State
2. Baker Mayfield, Oklahoma
3. Luke Falk, Washington State
4. Brandon Silvers, Troy
5. Mike White, Western Kentucky

Underclassmen

1. *Sam Darnold, USC
2. Josh Rosen, UCLA
3. Josh Allen, Wyoming
4. Lamar Jackson, Louisville
5. Kelly Bryant, Clemson

Mayfield is No. 1 in FBS in Total QBR (93.2), and Rudolph is No. 2 (89.1). The Sooner is one of my favorite college football players to watch. The first-year starter Bryant has a big frame (6-4, 200).

Bradford is a Glass Figurine and Bridgewater is going to be a great High School or College Coach someday.

MDK -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/1/2017 3:13:46 PM)

Vikings suck today against the Lions and and home, as well.

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/1/2017 6:40:08 PM)

D was great but we continue to be plagued by crap ST's and coaching decisions that make you want to punch the TV. We are the only dummies to have fallen for the "4th and ….we'll make you jump offside by running around a lot" in 28 years. Fresh in our minds so we thought we'd find another sucker early.

Just f'ng dumb coaching there. JM running the Wildcat still? Cost us again. That has NEVER, along with his dumb ass kick returns, worked. Why do we still do that?

I'm not AT ALL calling for coaching changes but these guys seem:

1. Super stubborn
2. Really cocky
3. Dumb

They have learned a bit but still do some really stupid things.

ronhextall -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/1/2017 7:33:43 PM)

Fire Speilman and start over. Start by building an OLine and finding a real QB. Must have strong arm. Tired of weenie arms that supposedly can do everything else.

Strong arms don't win games.

You need a lot of the everything else before the strong arm becomes useful.

I remember Kyle Boller could kneel on the 50 yard line and throw the ball through the uprights. Strong arm....how's his career going?

Tom Brady has never been accused of having a strong arm. And he's arguably one of the best of all time.

Joe Montana was never accused of having a strong arm. And he's arguably one of the best of all time.

Marino had a strong arm and won squat.

Favre won exactly ONE superbowl. He won a lot with his strong arm, but lost a lot too with the gunslinger attitude.

The greatest QB would be the one with Tom Brady's head and Favre's arm and Randall Cunningham or Dogkiller's legs.

Sounds like Kyle Sloter

ronhextall -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/2/2017 11:06:46 AM)

strong arm doesn't guarantee anything but it sure seems like the weenie arm guys we get with Ponder and Bridgewater don't look anything like Montanta.

Speilman blows.

Ponder, Treadwell, Waynes, no offensive lineman, and wasting picks on kickers. Just tired.

Its a W
One of the ugliest games I've ever watched.
Its a W
We move on.
And hopefully forward.
The decision to start Bradford was about as dumb as it gets.
Wasn't even CLOSE to ready. Kudos to Keenum for being ready to go. Saved our ass.

Even if Rudolph screwed up and called it Duck-Duck-Goose. I laughed my ass off when I saw them do that. One of the very few watchable moments of a God awful game. But, if you are going to participate in a game that bad, you might as well win it.

I have no idea what Zimmer was thinking with that decision. It's almost like he decided, "I don't care how he looks. He's our starting QB goddamnit and he's gonna start".

One important note ...
The Vikings had fun, celebrated ... and no one died.
I think Minnesota people worry about that.

Highly underrated, how Harrison Smith coaxed their rookie QB into that game-winning INT late.
"look, kid! He's open! .... oh nooooooooo you DID N T !!!!!"

And then he compounded it by leaving him in there for 6(!) series - when it was clear he shouldn't be in there after the 1st or 2nd.

Irresponsible by the HC. He couldn't move, he couldn't step into his throws so he had no accuracy or touch on any of his passes. He was clearly not ready physically or mentally.

No blame for Sam on this one, this was all Zimmer.

SoMnFan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/10/2017 11:03:40 AM)

Scary tweet from RGIII right before they took Bradford out ...

Robert Griffin III @RGIII

Gotta get Bradford out for his own safety trust me I know the feeling

Yeah, that was pretty good baiting. Veteran move on a rook. Nice

Jet was bleh on kickoffs, and after that fumble he seemed to pick his game up. Coaches showed some confidence.

Murray does nothing for me.

SoMnFan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/10/2017 11:15:29 AM)

Really thought AD would end up in NY
But knew he wouldn't stay there.
