Highly underrated, how Harrison Smith coaxed their rookie QB into that game-winning INT late.
"look, kid! He's open! .... oh nooooooooo you DID N T !!!!!"

Yeah, that was pretty good baiting. Veteran move on a rook. Nice

Jet was bleh on kickoffs, and after that fumble he seemed to pick his game up. Coaches showed some confidence.

Murray does nothing for me.

Was ready to SCREAM at Jet
Last week I thought it wouldn't get any worse, then this week he almost gave the game away again ...
Just completely frustrated by him.
I had originally liked him, but lately, he's been HORRIFIC. Did some nice things last night, albeit against a HS defense.

TJSweens -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/10/2017 11:24:14 AM)

Jet is horrible on kickoffs because he lacks the field vision you need to do the job. If the Red Sea parts before him, he can run the straight line very fast. But most of the time to need to read the blocking and adjust on the fly and he just stinks at it. I'm really stunned that they continue to use him in that role.

I was impressed with #7 Non-Ponder getting the defense caught a couple of times. Good work

Gruden was trying to be so nice to both teams in an ugly game. Would have been happy whomever won.

Laughed at Gruden too
Tried damn hard to make it seem like an important game.
The level of play was horrendous.
And the officiating was ugly, but mostly because the players were idiots. Make a good play, find a way to screw it up ...

Kind of like Roger Ebert summing up Papillon. "You know something has gone wrong when you want the hero to escape simply so that the movie can be over."

If Jet is going to be the everydown type back. and between him and Murray I think we have a problem..., then he shouldn't be returning kicks anyway. Put Sherels back there and tell these guys if it is in the endzone, ****ing kneel.

Until they find a way to activate Coley or Adams or whatever their names were...

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/16/2017 9:32:24 PM)

Mikey says Barr's hit was totally unnecessary

Of course, like all other coaches, if it's your guy doing the tackling, "that's just football."

Zimmer would be the same.

TJSweens -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/17/2017 8:04:05 AM)

Yeah, let's total up how many times Clay Matthews delivers that same hit on QB's over the course of a year. I bet he does it more than Barr because they blitz him more than Barr.

TJSweens -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/17/2017 8:04:55 AM)

My favorite internet meme this week ... So Aaron Rogers walks into a Barr ...

Now Aaron says Barr gave him the finger after the tackle.

OH NO [:-][:-][:-][:-][:-][:-][:-][:-]

Watching the game with the sound off. A bunch of pretty weak pass interference calls on the Browns. The win has basically been given to the Vikes. Very tough to enjoy watching the NFL with all the ticky-tack calls. It really is.

Daniel Lee Young -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/29/2017 1:20:25 PM)

Bryant Gumble did enough appologising for the Browns to make up for it... our running game defense is a bit weaker than I expected this game, but once we took the lead the defense pitched a shut out in the second half...

I enjoyed the game after the nail biting first half..

Wife thought the game started 9:30 cdt so I missed first half of first quarter..

Keenum’s inaccuracy is our biggest flaw, IMO..

Despite the whining I like Shurmur’s offfense a far sight better than Dino- norv.

ronhextall -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/29/2017 3:36:13 PM)

I didn't think the Browns looked too bad.

They had lots of dropped passes and missed some FG.

QB is a mess but it is on half the teams in the NFL at least.

I believe that was Greg Gumble.

SoMnFan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/30/2017 11:31:48 AM)

Good win
We finally found another NFL team that gets less respect than we do!
The OL play and the play-calling are the two biggest improvements in my eyes
Gives us a chance against anyone at this point
No ones great in the league at this point
We are relevant at 6-2. Get some people back, and we might have a fun second half.

SoMnFan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (10/30/2017 1:13:27 PM)

Frightening stuff re Bears TE Zach Miller
Suffered a Teddy-like injury and may lose the leg
For the Viking staff to do what they did, on a normal practice day, to save Teddys leg, has been highly underrated.
Crushing blows for these athletes to suffer these kind of life changing injuries.

OMG

Saw it, and now he may lose it? Zero is worth that.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (11/6/2017 8:27:32 AM)

William told me his 2nd fave team got hosed by 3 missed FGs by Blair Walsh. He was not shocked by this. Nor was I.
