Nobody in sports carries more water for the franchise they work for than Paul Allen.

Sloter is Tommy Kramer or Brett Favre. When the light come on, he comes alive.

Sloter's preseason career:

95/120 (79%), 1059 yards, 10 TDs, 0 INTs.

Should be the #2 QB. There is no competition. Mannion is stiff and slow.

ManOnion is a slug.

And if Cousins goes down this is the douchebag that Zimmer is going to entrust his offense and entire coaching career to.

I am starting to lose faith in Zimmer.

Starting to?
Starting to?

Zimmer is Poop.
Will give you a year over year improvement on D, then a plateau, and surrounds himself with bad people.
Trump like.

It's feeling a lot like GardyWorld over there in Purple Land, no?
Inexplicable decisions on some really weird shit.
And half the fan base defends him because, he wears a cute little uniform and we don't.
Wait … I guess he doesn't. But you know what I mean.

(btw … can't say "inexplicable" without spraying it like Daffy Duck … can you?)

Are you saying Manion is Zimmer's Nick Punto?

That's one of them.
I remember him sticking with some guys, then defending them to the death, and just kind of going "where in the hell is he going to let this lead him?"
Zimmers doing that now with Sloter in the reverse.
Anyone with eyeballs and a quarter of a brain has seen that kid motivate, matriculate, and validate his position of at least backing up the overpaid QB we have.
But by all means, you old stubborn stick in the freaking mud, you go down fighting it.
Typical Minnesota. What'd Mannion do? Wash your pickup once?
We will forever treat pro sports like tee ball in this GD state, until some real managers and or coaches take over and are allowed to get tougher.

MDK -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (8/30/2019 9:47:25 AM)

Vikings need to cut both Bailey and Vedvik and sign Carli Lloyd

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (9/7/2019 5:44:10 PM)

Steve

Washington looks like a stud RB for the 'Huskers

MDK -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (9/8/2019 6:23:38 PM)

Nice win to start the season for the Vikings.

Dalvin Cook is amazing.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (9/9/2019 10:42:44 AM)

Bemidji State player is punt returner for the Patriots. At least in week 1. Sweet.

Would stink if he was let go for that prima donna Brown.

Yes it would stink, but let's be clear here. If you can get AB in line behaving, he's far better than a Bemidji State punt returner.

And if anyone can get AB in line, it's Belichick

MDK -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (9/9/2019 11:02:48 AM)

The talented get more talented.

And if Belichick can't reign in Brown, he will be gone like a fart into the wind. (Movie Matt????)

Yeah, don't care about that. I'm into the Minnesota Nice story. [:D]

Good win.
Nice balance
Only negative is we still have a coaching staff who has no clue how to play with a lead.

Watch the Patriots, Zimmer. PLEASE?
You can learn a lot.

Don't even hint at that on the Viking thread, whatever you do.

I've learned to skirt that place like a ninja.

twinsfan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (9/9/2019 12:34:43 PM)

I don't see the sense in showing your entire playbook to the league when you already have the game in hand. Looks like the Vikings coaching staff played this one correctly.

That's smart. I made the mistake of having that opinion over there. I even qualified that I was happy with the game and that I understood the ground and pound logic even if it wasn't what I would have liked. In the end, it turns out I was just crapping on a glorious victory.

No ones ever seen anyone's entire playbook, ever.
Silly argument.
Any HC who can't understand how much time you'll kill with three dumb runs against an opponent with three timeouts, needs to go back to school.

Trekgeekscott -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (9/9/2019 12:50:17 PM)

OK, now. I just think they did exactly what they needed to do once they were up by 28 and the Falcons seemed listless. No need to give them any hope. One turnover or quick score can get them fired up and back in the game...

So we didn't keep passing and played a defense that made the Falcons work for every inch and eat the clock. It resulted in a win.

I see no reason to be critical of that action. It was absolutely correct to run down the clock up by 28 and win the game.

I watched the Twins game, but I agree with you.

SoMnFan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (9/9/2019 12:56:49 PM)

End of the first half was more what I was "criticizing"
Could have easily let them back in, after a great 28 minutes …. because of his usual sphincter-seizing shut down of anything offensive.

I have to admit
If the Packers played the Saints, I'm pulling for the Packers.
That's the level my hatred has grown to for that franchise, who seems to think the world owes them everything.
Brees might be a great story and a Saint, but I wish him nothing but the worst.
Mostly because Sean Payton is involved. Attitude starts at the top, certainly does there.

If any two of the Packers, Cowboys and Saints were playing, I would look at it as a glorious time and place for a meteor strike.
