Love how the Bears and the Rams thought they had it all figured out last year.
Pfffft. Nope.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (11/25/2019 9:41:16 PM)

Looks like the Ravens do

5:TDs

Wow

Lamar is changing the game.
That's rare.
But he's doing it.
Freakish athlete.
Will be interesting to see how the defensive geniuses in the game approach this.
Defending players like him is the next big challenge.
Michael Vick got solved, eventually. Will be an interesting watch.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (11/26/2019 10:50:21 AM)

Healthy is a big deal for Jackson

He’s so physical
May have to tone it down

But as long as the threat of running is there

He has a shot at putting up more video game numbers

The Ingram signing was huge

SoMnFan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (11/26/2019 11:06:12 AM)

6. Minnesota Vikings (8-3)
Week 12 ranking: 7
What they're thankful for: A revamped offense.
Mike Zimmer waxes poetic anytime Gary Kubiak is mentioned. Kirk Cousins has been lights out since Week 5, and the Vikings' potent rushing attack is a threat no matter who they're playing. The overhaul of Minnesota's offense from a year ago has the Vikings with the league's eighth-best unit, putting up numbers that rival some of the NFL's top playoff contenders. The offense has carried its weight (and bailed out the defense too) through the majority of the season, which is a welcome departure from years past. -- Courtney Cronin

Looks like the Rams are being dismantled by the legend of Lamar.

I like to envision that Clay Mathews and his beautiful hair are having an incredibly miserable time.

After a long weekend of football

It’s the Vikings in Seattle

Will they be road warriors

Or road kill

Given Zimmer in charge

Am expecting the latter

Just don’t see them covering well enough
Or containing Wilson enough

Ironically
I found a highlight video of Moss torching Dallas his rookie year on Thanksgiving

And twice while Madden is talking after a Moss score

There’s Zimmer talking to the Dallas DBacks who were shellshocked

Seattle is an easy pick in this one. Seattle 30 Vikings 20

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (12/2/2019 2:17:08 PM)

I'm laying this game right at the feet of Zimmer. If our D sucks tonight and our secondary gets shredded, it's all on him. We went in to the break with him acknowledging they have been trash. What does he do about it?

If they get the ball first and we sit back and let them march the field it's going to be a really bad night. I already read the Strib article where Barr is going to be Wilson's spy so I doubt we use him aggressively in the blitz.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (12/2/2019 2:22:04 PM)

Why would you tell the press this?

I’d agree if he’s going to spy Barr makes the most sense unless you went with one less linebacker

But the front four better bust their butts with pressure

Kendricks is going to be busy

SoMnFan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (12/2/2019 2:24:44 PM)

Ed, Ed, Edddddddd
He's such a D genius, he can TELL you what he's gonna do, and there's still nuttin ya can do about it …… [&:]

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (12/2/2019 2:26:22 PM)

Seeing him in Dallas with those defense backs was fun

No one could stop Moss that year but Dennis Green

And he did

SoMnFan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (12/2/2019 2:27:20 PM)

Kendricks is going to be busy

And Harry the Hitman too
And another one of those nights where …. IF he hits the right guys ….. Sendejo will be needed.
(This will drive Sweens and DL crazy, I love pushing that button) [:D]

I like heat-seeking missiles.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (12/2/2019 2:30:55 PM)

Are Smith and Thielen playing?

If not they’re in trouble

SoMnFan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (12/2/2019 2:34:45 PM)

No on Thielen
That one hurts

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (12/2/2019 2:38:06 PM)

Still the hamstring?

Oof

William said if he suited up he guaranteed he’d not finish the first quarter

Been thinking that too
His game, with that type of injury, is like watching the inevitable.
Those suck so bad.
Dealt with one that lasted years, you know what'll happen when you push it, but you try it, and pop! there you go, right back to Day One.
I honestly don't think we'll see him back to "normal" until the 2020 regular season.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (12/2/2019 2:52:22 PM)

The Vikings need to utilize Smith in more routes where he can use his speed to his advantage

IMO Johnson is a near non factor

Doctson suiting up tonight? If not they have two wr’s and Treadmill

SoMnFan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (12/2/2019 2:54:11 PM)

INCREDIBLY big test for Cousins tonight
Great opportunity for him, to step forward

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (12/2/2019 2:55:06 PM)

Laquon slow poke is like a treadmill

And I agree
Almost time to shut Thielen if he still can’t go

Can’t believe they’re so WR short handed

Zimmer excuse to pound the ball

SoMnFan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (12/2/2019 2:56:17 PM)

Irv Smith baby
use the big boy like he's a WR

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (12/2/2019 3:00:38 PM)

I’d like that

Just don’t be so vanilla that the games lopsided quickly

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (12/2/2019 6:00:22 PM)

Didn't even know they'd waived Doctson

Gedeon was put on IR;

Alexander Hollins is now a WR candidate on the active roster.

Prior to being elevated to the 53-man roster, Hollins (6-1, 166) spent Weeks 2-12 of the season on the team’s practice squad. The rookie was initially signed by the Vikings as an undrafted free agent on May 3 and was waived during final cuts (8/31/19) before being re-signed to the practice squad on September 12. A native of Yazoo City, Mississippi, Hollins started 22 games over two seasons at Eastern Illinois after transferring from Copiah-Lincoln Community College (Wesson, Mississippi). He was awarded First Team All-Ohio Valley Conference and First Team All-America honors following a breakout senior season in 2018 that saw him total 1,102 yards on 80 receptions. Hollins was also a finalist for the 2018 Walter Payton Award, which is awarded annually to the most outstanding offensive player in the FCS.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (12/2/2019 7:28:06 PM)

big start for the offense

Some creativity

(paying attention Fleck?)

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (12/3/2019 7:59:38 AM)

Lol

Cousins misses a fourth down pass

And some put the blame on him for this one

The defense gave up over 400 yards and 37 points

34 before giving up the last three in part due to field position

Could stuff Dallas but Seattle crushes them on the ground

The defensive play caller has not gotten the job done

Or the talent just isn’t there

Or both
