Anyone else scared shitless about the Chargers game?
Yeah, me neither. [:o]

Talk about a classic trip-over-the-rug game that usually screws up our lives as Vikings fans.
It's just sitting out there in Cali, waiting on us.
Someone talk me out of it.

Good game yesterday for the most part.
Still allowing 11 yards when its 3rd and ten, but …
Cousins can throw the long ball.

SoMnFan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (12/9/2019 7:40:24 AM)

I think I set a record yesterday for saying … "whew, thank God their QB sucks"
Not convinced our D is back on course.
Chargers scored about a hundo yesterday on Jacksonville.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (12/9/2019 8:41:59 AM)

Not going to talk you out of that one

Keenan Allen
Mike Williams

Could have a field day if the pass rush isn’t effective

It’s a game I expect to see end badly

That whole sit on the ball with a lead stuff won’t work this week

When were they most effective

Up tempo some no huddle

Look at the play summary

First down. Run
Second down. Run

Third down pass
So predictable

MDK -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (12/9/2019 9:00:29 AM)

[sm=word.gif] regarding fear of going out to Calf and getting whupped by the chargers. Phil Rivers can pick apart a patchwork quilt called our secondary.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (12/9/2019 9:11:08 AM)

Time to just scrap pass interference replay

The NFL is embarrassing now

Patriots didn’t have a challenge after another garbage call

Lost two scores due to garbage officials

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (12/9/2019 9:12:33 AM)

Stop chanting MVP in Seattle now please

Rams took care of that

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (12/9/2019 9:13:47 AM)

Niners Saints reminded me of the college big kid games

Bills Ravens reminded me how boring the NFL can be

I am more worried by their stud TE and RB that can catch (Ekeler/Gordon)

Good description. The problems are many with that bunch. Rhodes' spectacular decline has been well chronicled. Waynes continues right there as receivers make catches on him. Covers them tight. Just can't seem to keep them from catching the ball even though he is right there. On top of all of that, even though Smith continues to perform at a high level, he looks about half a step slower. On top of that, the communication within that group continues to be off. The hand offs in coverage are sloppy, which opens passing angles. The group is just a train wreck right now.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (12/9/2019 9:20:09 AM)

The cynic is telling me a three game losing streak to end the season is on its way

And if so

The end of the Zimmer era

That may be better than a playoff appearance in the grand scheme of things. Even though I believe our talent is a bit over rated and not underachieving to the degree some think, I believe it's time for a new voice and a new vision.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (12/9/2019 9:29:35 AM)

Agreed on overrated talent

Especially on defense

On offense
Shackles on the passing game is hurting their chances

Yep buffalo And Baltimore and Pittsburgh and Seattle are doing the old school things too

Only Seattle found out what happens when your defense gives up too much

Pittsburgh is getting by on special teams and a defense that turns the ball over
Buffalo and Baltimore defenses are superior to the Vikings

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (12/9/2019 12:11:06 PM)

At least all 3 are home games. That should help.

TJSweens -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (12/9/2019 12:16:14 PM)

Or heighten the disgrace.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (12/9/2019 1:39:55 PM)

Is Sunday’s game at San Diego?
Schedule I looked at says away
Last two at home

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (12/9/2019 1:42:19 PM)

It's in LA but that's the running joke here. Every game there is an away game for the Chargers.

15,000 in a stadium holding 30,000 doesn't constitute a tremendous home field advantage????

Rivers, a devout Roman Catholic, married his junior high school sweetheart, Tiffany, in 2001. She converted to the Catholic faith. They have nine children,[183][184][185] and reside in northern San Diego County, California.[186]

Amazing story
I can remember seeing that happen, and not knowing the real story.

Hope that kid got new underwear for Xmas.

twinsfan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (12/10/2019 2:08:45 PM)

Remember a few years ago when that kid was flying through the air in a homemade blimp?

I remember the Vikings balloon from the 69 highlights video

Bizarre. I don't remember hearing about that before.

So did the kid purposely drop into the river, knowing that was his best chance? I don't understand the end of the story.

SoMnFan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (12/10/2019 2:15:56 PM)

Best chance?
I'd say that would have been the worst choice.
He was probably trying everything, and it just happened to fall there
Not the luckiest bulb on the tree.
And how about der ol' Mom, bailing on him to start with? [&:] [&:]
