Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (11/30/2020 1:34:25 PM)

Can you imagine the backlash of firing HOF John Elway? Probably as much backlash as when Gardy and Ryan got let go [;)]

He's probably going to have to quit.

SoMnFan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (11/30/2020 1:35:12 PM)

THE HORROR! THE HORROR!!!!!!!!!!!

Well he isn't a HOFer for being in the front office. and he's shown time and again that he's not very good at this job.

Go back to selling Cars John.

At least Boyd didn't get a penalty on that one
Its usually the only time he shows up
"penalty, MN #29"

Bet our kicker would have sprung to life like that. [&:][&:]

Another incredibly overrated QB who gets treated like a football god. Completed 57% of his passes, 300 TD to 226 Int and career rating of 79.9.

I'd say he's done a bad job of late anyway....

Elway led his teams to six AFC Championship Games and five Super Bowls, winning two. After his retirement as a player, he served as general manager and executive vice president of football operations of the Broncos, which won four division titles, two AFC Championships, and Super Bowl 50 during his tenure. Elway has been a member of the Broncos organization for all three of their Super Bowl victories, two as a player and one as an executive.

2 Super Bowl rings will get you treated like a football god in some places.

and a 98 yard drive to win a game in under two minutes...

Any Vikings starting QB in its history would be treated like a football god if any of them led the Vikings to ONE Super Bowl victory.

Yep, sometimes you reap individual benefits for being on a really good team.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- The San Francisco 49ers have a new home, at least for their next two games.

As had been expected since Santa Clara County announced on Saturday new COVID-19-related restrictions that prevent contact sports in the county for at least the next three weeks, the Niners announced Monday morning that they will hold their next two games at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

Dead Man Walking

LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy challenged the team to "wake up" and "have some personal pride" in the wake of Sunday's disastrous 41-25 prime-time loss to the Green Bay Packers.

"I know this: We better wake our tails up," Nagy said on a Monday Zoom call. "Every freaking coach on the staff, every player, better wake up and start understanding where we're at. Have some personal pride. Have a freaking sense of urgency. Know where we're at. Have some pride into who we're playing for and why we do this and then go find a way to win as a team. That's my challenge to every single person in that building this week is that.

The fraud and cheating will be included in Trump's one big lawsuit to be presented to the US supreme Court

Won one we shoulda lost, finally.
We've been losing ones we shoulda won.

I thought Cousins was outstanding yesterday, outside of the horrible turnover TD
Very little time, but the guy puts the ball where it needs to be damn-near always
A couple decent runs even
He did everything he could for us yesterday
The paly-calling was a little better, but still leaves a lot to be desired.
D remains frustrating. That final long pass allowed is maddening.

Last note, thanking whoever is responsible, that we aren't still watching Teddy two-gloves flounder for US
he easily could have beaten us yesterday, but as usual, didn't get it done.
Football is crazy. Bebee catches one he had no business surviving, then drops the easy one, then gets a tough one for the winner.
It requires real patience. He's got good genes.
We even got something out of Bisi Johnson. He tried hard to lose it for us, but not even he could get it done.
If I had a dime for every pattern he runs that ends up a yard short, I'd be sending this from a tropical island.
We still have some guys who you'd swear have never watched a game before.
JJ with some outstanding plays again, not many, but all timely and huge. Kid is special.
Cook disappoints again, always seems to get hurt on the plays he fumbles away. Hmmm.
Here we go again, a game we should win next weekend. Uh-ohhhh.

So…….do we bring Wentz "home" after the KC's experiment. Dudes got talent but is a head case. He ticks all the boxes.

SoMnFan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (12/1/2020 7:26:28 AM)

WHOAAAAAAAAAAA
Has someone ever fallen off a cliff as fast as Wentz?
YIKES
I would have taken Denvers QB last night over him
He ends up with some numbers, but if you watched, he was BRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTAL
"Something" happened to the guy. He appears to be scared shitless.
Even when he did connect, it was always too late. He has the yips, the skips, the nips, the mumps, the jumps, the everything ....
Dude is a mess.
That whole team is a mess. Pederson is just like a guy with a ostrich feather trying to put out a forest fire, its just a mess.
And Seattle really never put them away.
Cannot tell you how irritating I find Seattle. A combination of fake cheerleaders and nasty-mouthed thugs. The whole cover team running the full length of the field sums up their rah-rah bullshit act.
They have some incredible talents, but man, they are full of themselves.

Bill Jandro -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (12/1/2020 7:35:36 AM)

Wentz mechanics are gone. He doesn't step into his throws and just stands there basically flat footed.

Philly has a ton of money tied into him. They can keep him.

He did some things last night that were mind-boggling
When a play would work for them, when a receiver would finally get open, he'd look at them and look at them and look at them
It was like that 3 year old who just won't let the ball go
The MNF crew was exasperated trying to figure him out
This is Philly team no one could stop a few short seasons ago
