I saw that somewhere else Ed, but I'm kind of doubting its accuracy. I never see women here wearing that jersey, but I see women wearing all kinds of other jerseys - purple ones.

I can believe that Wisconsin transplants would buy Rodgers jerseys - but that's about it.

I don't think the charge matters much at all (other than public perception). The commissioner has wide latitude in the personal conduct policy.

I just don't see his (more or less) smart lawyers taking the plea unless they thought there was a great chance the NFL (and the Vikings) were going to let him off easy.

I don't know, so I asked.  But, I could see the Players Union having a blurb about that in the CBA.  No suspensions for non-felonies.

I think this thread should be abolished. If you want to talk Vikings football, get in the arena with the big boys and go head-to-head. You don't really need to know that much. Just make a few statements and you will get their attention instantly. [8D]

Now the AP case jumps back in front. Plea agreement? Will he sit out any games?


I"ll be curious to see how the NFL handles this. Certainly looking like a plea to a misdemeanor might happen pretty quickly here.


I heard a lawyer on ESPN say since he pleaded no contest, it changes how the NFL deals with it. I really don't know though.

He's already sat out 8 games.
They will fine him (but not eight game checks) and reinstate him with time served.

Doesn't make sense for them to do anything else.

If this Marijuana thing has any legs at all then AD will be entered into the NFL drug program and I'm pretty sure first offense gets nothing.
