I've written this whole thing off as unhealthy
Let's move on
Let someone else overpay him, and deal with the drama
We've simply had drama overload
Ready to move on
( no one wanted Johnny Football Drama, so why do we want this? )

I think some wanted Johnny Football Drama.......[:D]

But even Johnny Football would have been smacked playing behind Kalil.

By now Johnny would have implanted his tiny little foot deep into Khalil's overpaid lazy pouty ass.

It would take bribery to even hope Kalil could protect any QB right now.

Manziel might lead the league in rushing with this line, running for his life.

One thing about Norv I don't understand is having Bridgewater be basically a pocket passer. Move him around more.

Black 47 -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (11/19/2014 11:25:08 AM)

To tell you the truth I love having a pocket passer. After years of watching culpepper, Jackson, and ponder take off and run, when they could stand in the pocket an extra half second and complete a pass..........I'm very happy to have a guy who stands in there. Should hopefully keep him healthy too.

SoMnFan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (11/19/2014 11:29:22 AM)

Pocket passer ... Or pocket dump-er off-Er?

Black 47 -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (11/19/2014 11:37:08 AM)

Hopefully he'll grow out of that. I hope!

Capt. Ramsey (played by Gene Hackman): All I ask is that you keep up with me. If you can't, then that strange sensation you'll be feeling in the seat of your pants will be my boot in your ass!

Damn
Was hoping MarQueis would carve a niche out for himself in the league.

There is no pocket. He backs up, backs up and dumps off.

This. When you get roughly 8 milliseconds to throw ... OUT OF THE SHOTGUN ... it's hard to describe what a QB does in the pocket.

Feh

Kalil needs tosit

Losing Lard-holt did NOT hurt anything. At all

D played better than last time.

Lots of hi throws, Bridgewater was not all that great.

Too many drops.

More Banyard please. Don't understand why he hasn't gotten opps before now. He's better at picking up blitzes than McKinnon.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (11/23/2014 4:23:39 PM)

So close

yet so far

4-7 stinks

ronhextall -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (11/23/2014 4:55:57 PM)

Lots of positives. I say less Asiata and more Banyard and McKinnon.

TJSweens -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (11/23/2014 6:44:03 PM)

Kalil has to go, plain and simple. Kalil has to go. You can pull somebody off the practice squad, off the scrap heap, hell pull Bryant McKinnie's fat ass out of retirement and any of them will be better than Kalil. The rest of them aren't much better. I'm amazed at Bridgewater's ability to stand in and make any plays at all. He gets massacred on damn near every pass.

Our receivers just suck beyond belief. They can't run a proper route and they can't catch passes that hit them in the hands.

SoMnFan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (11/23/2014 7:20:46 PM)

And ........ when Teddy has time, and has an open receiver, he misses BADLY a lot of times.
Not picking on him, just sayin ....... plenty of blame on offense, no ones getting off easy.
Pretty much what Ed says
Frustrating that WE know Banyard would do fine ... but it takes THEM months to figure that out? WTH?

TJSweens -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (11/23/2014 8:08:14 PM)

Teddy has a ways to go, but he is the least of the problems with the offense right now. A lot of those bad misses are because receivers are not getting to where they are supposed to be.

I saw todays result as a ... bad news/good news situation

bad news ... we lose another one to a hated rival
good news .... they aren't that good

Tons of work to. E-z touchdown, the rest was way too much work. Liked coach going for it twice on 4th down. The possibility of on-side kick at the end?

No win situation. they needed to sell out to stop Lacy, then see Rodgers throw a 70 yard TD pass.

Barr was uneven, Rhodes was very good. Tons of missed tackles. Sloppy and sometimes looked uninterested making plays.

Rodgers on Vikings' game plan: "It was different playing against a Mike Zimmer team. Mike is a great football mind and he had a great plan."

Give Zimmer a couple years and some more players .... and we may be golden, at least on THAT side of the ball.

Problem #1 LT trying to get his QB killed.
Problem #2 RT trying to get his QB killed.
Problem #3 Rest of Oline trying to get their QB killed
Problem #4 WR that can't run routes and can't catch with any consistency.
Problem #5 RB by committee with nobody yet stepping up to be a #1.
Problem #6 Rookie QB throws high, has difficulty throwing the deep ball.

Bridgewater has a lot to learn, but he is learning. I expect him to get better. I think the in house RB can be at least a serviceable group. I see no hope for this offensive line. I don't know that we have any receivers that know how to adjust to the ball outside of Jennings.

SoMnFan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (11/23/2014 9:47:22 PM)

Good list
Somewhere in there you have to add
"no clue on how to attack/make your offense dangerous"
The good teams in this league approach offense as differently as can be imagined (from the way we do it)
