The non-TD on the pass to Ford.

Replay officials have become cowards.

Just like all other officiating
They're allowing outside influences to affect their decisions.

@1500ESPN_Reusse
The Timberwolves and the Vikings have the same number of winning seasons going back to 2001: Five.

SoMnFan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (12/21/2014 9:00:04 PM)

Ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch. [:o]

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (12/21/2014 9:00:53 PM)

Twins' winning percentage since April 2011: .409. Vikings' winning percentage since September 2010: .386.

We found our young QB. That alone makes it not a lost season.

Maybe
Love the Bridgewater Crews unbridled blind optimism.

We are losing games we should be winning.
Lots of potential in the young man, but we are still losing winnable games, when a completion here or there or a better decision, could have us winning them.
He's a bright spot, but he's not a sure thing yet.
Very important off-season. again. As usual.

First of all, my bridle is still on.

Second, my eyes may be a little fuzzy, but they aren't blind.

Third... none of us are enshrining Teddy in Canton, yet. [;)]

I however am encouraged. The last QB I had any confidence in was Farve in 2009, and he was never the QB of the future. There was some hope for Culpepper, but he wasn't as good as the pieces around him made him look.

There are improvements to make for sure, but there are reasons for optimism too.

Agree on all.
(except your "third")

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (12/21/2014 9:04:52 PM)

Asiata giveth(2TDs, 2PT conversion) Asiata giveth away(horrible catch attempt results in INT)

Nice ST blocking.

Fins tried their hardest to give the game away. Vikes wanted to give it away more.

Bears/Vikes will be a snoozer next week.

SoMnFan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (12/21/2014 9:06:05 PM)

Until you start winning games you should be winning, no ones job should be a sure thing.

We blew a 14 point lead for the second straight week
Even the "SMF HOF-anointed" HC should be worried more about straightening things out, then basking in the recent moments.
As long as they all keep realizing we are miles away from good here, it should get better.

Come on man...

All I'm thinking is he's an All pro worthy, SB MVP caliber...multiple SB winning potential QB.

SoMnFan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (12/21/2014 9:28:38 PM)

Been a very weird NFL year
Some teams were down and ready to be squashed, but were let back up ... (Bengals, SeaHags, 'Boys)
Some teams stepped up early, and faded late ... (Eagles, Bills, Browns, Fins)
Some of the better teams struggled along, but weren't put away like they should have been. ('Boys, Falcons, Pack)
Some we thought were on the verge of greatness ... took huge steps back (Niners, Chiefs, Eagles))
Some old standbys just keep getting further away ... (Giants, Saints)
Could be a very interesting playoff season

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (12/21/2014 10:16:48 PM)

Brothers:

TB with a  cast of:

1.  A shitty OLine
2.  Weaponry of Mass Scrubstruction

19 of 26 for 259 with 2 TD's and 1 INT against a really good D.  And, that SHOULD have been 20 for 26 with 260 and 3 TD's, 0 INT's.  That was a TD and Asiata f'd him on that INT.

The D, however.....

Tannehill with a cast of guys on par with us with an Oline about as sorry....

35 of 47 with 4 TD's and 1 INT.

OUR D SUCKED TODAY.

Todd M -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (12/21/2014 10:23:08 PM)

2. Weaponry of Mass Scrubstruction

copyrite Jeff Jesser. Very nice!

Hope you never get to use it again.

SoMnFan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (12/21/2014 10:49:31 PM)

We should get points for creativity, tho ... no?
As fans, what other team loses games the way we do?
Gotta give em credit.
The "give up a punt-block for a safety" notch got added today.
Very entertaining if nothing else.

bstinger -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (12/22/2014 10:57:41 AM)

Currently looks like we in the 8th spot for the draft, Chicago is 7th. If we lose to them on Sunday we move to 7th. We are one of 6 6-9 teams. If we win and the rest lose we could drop to 12th.

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (12/22/2014 6:08:18 PM)

We should win then.  7 has been brutal to us over the years.   The lone exception being AD.

Blind optimism is for Browns fans as Little Johnny Hamstring gave them about 7 quarters of lousy play before shutting it down.

We have a kid that is setting rookie completion % records and answering his critics each week. His mechanics get better each week - velocity is up, high throws are down. He sees the game like a 10 year vet.

Should we have won this game? Probably. Do I think the fault lies with the QB that led us to 35 points? Not even a little.

David Levine -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (12/22/2014 11:07:53 PM)

Darren Page @DarrenPage
At 105.8, Teddy Bridgewater has the #4 passer rating in the league over last four weeks. #2 in completion percentage.

RT @Pat_Thorman: More impressive is Teddy’s 72.8 Acc % under press. (2nd of 27 QBs), esp. since his pressure % (40.2) is 3rd highest.

Darren Page @DarrenPage
Teddy's yards per attempt, 8.89, is #1 in the league over the last four weeks.

"Matt Miller ‏@nfldraftscout 1h1 hour ago
Teddy Bridgewater is the first rookie QB to ever complete >70% of his passes in four straight games."

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (12/23/2014 9:30:20 AM)

Which are amazing stats but it's pissing me off.  Over the past couple weeks I've heard the pundits call Mack a lock for DROTY and now they are saying the same for Beckham as OROTY.

Meanwhile, Barr has missed 3 and 1/2 games and has the same amount of sacks and fumble recoveries, only 3 less tackles but has 1 more FF, FR and a TD.

It's kind of amazing what people chose to see sometimes.  I looked up the stats when I first heard Mack was a lock.  Quite frankly, I was surprised because I don't pay attention to the Raiders so I thought "damn, he must be lighting it up".  Barr was killing him.  It wasn't even close at that time.

Bridgewater does deserve consideratino for ROY. So does Barr. Barr would probably be leading the field without the injury. TB is overshadowed by Beckham though. That dude is lighting it up. Three straight 130 yard games? Yikes NO ROOKIE HAS EVER DONE THAT, INCLUDING RANDY MOSS. Guy's going to be a star for years, would love the Vikes to offer AD to the Giants straight up for him...

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (12/23/2014 9:39:45 AM)

Agree, Beckham is lighting it up but I think what TB is doing is more impressive.  Harder position to look good at but I get it.  Bigger market, media ect....The Mack one, at the time I first heard it, blew me away when I looked up his stats.  Not even close to Barr...

It's all about the QB.

Find a franchise QB, and the rest can come together. Most important player in any sport.

We have one that just turned 22. It was a very good year.

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (12/28/2014 4:48:43 PM)

Like I mentioned on the main Vikes thread.  That int was not Teddy's fault and Jennings let him down again on that long ball.  If not for those 2 (drop and should been catch) his #'s are:

18 for 25, 260 yards, 2 TD and 0 int's.  Really nice day.
