Matt is correct again.

After going thru every AL team's pitching rotation on baseball-reference.[8|]

It's always more fun if I can get it right on the first couple guesses off the top of my head.

One year ago this Sunday, what Twins player reached a milestone statistic, and what was it?

Dave E -> RE: Baseball Trivia (6/6/2014 3:15:24 PM)

Hicks struck out for the 47th consecutive time?

twinsfan -> RE: Baseball Trivia (6/6/2014 3:23:54 PM)

Dave, I'm surprised you didn't know this one. Hint: It's a Joe Mauer milestone.

300th career Joe-4 game?

Mr. Ed -> RE: Baseball Trivia (6/6/2014 3:27:59 PM)

Found out his wife was having twins?

Bought his first car from his own dealership?

First time he failed to lead AS balloting?

Mr. Ed -> RE: Baseball Trivia (6/6/2014 3:28:25 PM)

First day in a weight room?

Last day in a weight room?

twinsfan -> RE: Baseball Trivia (6/6/2014 3:29:02 PM)

These are all pretty funny.

But the answer may surprise you.

It was his 100th something.

In a game vs. Texas on July 3, 1980, what Twins player did what 3 times in one game?

Willie Norwood got hit on the head with a flyball.

No,wait, that would have been earlier.

And it may have been Bombo.

twinsfan -> RE: Baseball Trivia (7/1/2014 9:50:38 AM)

OK, here's half the answer. Someone hit 3 triples in one game.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Baseball Trivia (7/1/2014 9:54:54 AM)

Has to be the only guy who was worth much at that time.

Kenny Landreaux.

Only hitter I can think of that would be able to accomplish that.

Correct.

Stacey King -> RE: Baseball Trivia (7/1/2014 9:58:47 AM)

He did it in an afternoon Home game during the week vs. the Orioles...

I think I remember listening the end of that game after getting home from school.

Stacey King -> RE: Baseball Trivia (7/1/2014 9:59:20 AM)

oh...vs. texas...

nevermind

Stacey King -> RE: Baseball Trivia (7/1/2014 10:00:29 AM)

Baltimore Scotty McGregor stopped his 31-game hitting streak...

I knew there was something and Landreaux that involved the Orioles

TJSweens -> RE: Baseball Trivia (7/1/2014 10:15:20 AM)

Kenny Landreaux, the center piece of the Rod Carew trade hit 3 triples. Landreaux came from the Angels along with with Ron "Papa Jack" Jackson. Jackson's nickname would later be changed to "Papa Up" by Patrick Ruesse, back in the days when he was worth reading. Much like the current edition of the club, the few highlights that occued that year, stand out.

Sounds like you knew the answer before I posted the answer. Yes?

If so, you are the new trivia champion.
