Cuddyer signed a 2-year deal with the Mets.

I guess I assumed Cuddyer was accepting the Rockies qualifying offer. Oops.

I start Valencia over Punto.

I'm gonna say something controversial here.

I'd start Valencia without thinking twice about it.

Good job by his agent to find a taker on a 2 year deal.

I'm sure the Mets were at the top of the agent's list.

That's shocking to me. Don't know what the Mets are thinking, as this also costs them a draft pick. Why not just sign Hunter instead for 1 year and less money?

Mets are trying to field a winner in 2015.

Again, I'd take Hunter at this point just for health, for one year. And not give up the draft pick. Cuddy barely played last season. Both are bad defensively now.

And what are the Mets going to do? Get 4th place in the East?

Mets must be confident Cuddy can put up those #'s outside of Coors Field [8|]

djskillz -> RE: Former Twins News (11/10/2014 3:03:37 PM)

And it's not just any pick, either. It's the 15th overall pick. Mets are morons.

Their rotation should be solid with Harvey back, but good enough to compete? I seriously doubt it. And again, it's about allocation. Why sign Cuddy and give up that pick when there are cheaper alternatives that don't require giving up a pick?

Cool

Twins have contemporaries.

[:D]

Word is that the Mets are adding small flecks of gold into their uniforms as well.

And now you know why the Mets haven't done shit in over a decade.

He joins his boyhood friend Dave Wright

Good point, Fargo. Now they need to make a trade for BJ Upton and Ryan Zimmerman to complete the childhood group.

Looks like he gets $21M over 2 years vs. $15.3M this year. He must have wanted that guarantee with his injury this year. No guarantee he makes $6M in 2016.

Why are you leaving out the other Upton?[:D]

twinsfan -> RE: Former Twins News (11/16/2014 9:33:03 PM)

Morneau has a 3-run HR for the MLB All-Stars vs. the Japan All-Stars tonight. Eduardo Nunez is up now. I see Drew Butera is catching for the MLB All-Stars tonight.

Kate's boobs are too big, can't swing the bat well.

Just think of the tickets the Pohlad's could sell.

Good work Ed,
I was on my way in here to post that

ronhextall -> RE: Former Twins News (11/23/2014 11:30:02 AM)

Heard the name and wondered if that was his kid. I remember when I was in college I saw Pat Mahomes pitch against the Waterloo Indians. Class A Midwest league, he never did live up to the hype.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Former Twins News (11/25/2014 10:27:23 AM)

Ick

Further proof of how desperate teams are for pitching.

While his market still seems to be shaping up, starter Kevin Correia has drawn the attention of several teams, including the Rockies, according to Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer-Press (via Twitter). Berardino notes that Correia has pitched well over his career at Coors Field. Despite his largely underwhelming numbers, the 34-year-old righty will appeal to many clubs as a durable innings-eater.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Former Twins News (12/15/2014 3:39:00 PM)

[i]The Royals announced that they’ve signed former Twins right-hander Yohan Pino to a Major League contract and designated right-hander Casey Coleman for assignment to clear room on the 40-man roster.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Former Twins News (12/16/2014 9:45:42 AM)

Outfielder Jason Pridie and right-hander Merrill Kelly have signed with the SK Wyverns of the Korea Baseball Organization
