Oh come on, who doesn't like Fever Pitch?

Black 47 -> RE: Former Twins News (8/20/2016 6:30:24 PM)

Or is that a girly movie? I do like alot of girly stuff. [:D] A while back someone even created a bit to say I must be a woman! That's OK, I embrace my feminine side. [8|]

Mr. Ed -> RE: Former Twins News (8/22/2016 11:23:06 AM)

Oswaldo Arcia's final 15 games with the Rays... .147/.256/.265 (.521). 5-34. But those 4 games when he went 9-17 were pretty good

TJSweens -> RE: Former Twins News (8/22/2016 11:53:24 AM)

But at least his barber is closer to him now.

SoMnFan -> RE: Former Twins News (8/22/2016 9:55:14 PM)

Gotta watch out for Val. He's scrappy. And you're old, BillyButt

Billy Butler suffered a concussion in a fight with teammate Danny Valencia on Friday after the 3B punched him in the temple, according to a San Francisco Chronicle report

A boxer vs. a wrassler.......I put money on the boxer all the time.

But always put your money on the martial arts person.....

Sweep the leg
Sweep the leg.

Went to high school with a Golden Gloves boxer who was Upper Midwest Champ. He was tall and thin. At 5'11", he only weighed 135 lbs. But super super quick with his hands and feet.

When he was in Golden Gloves, he avoided fights since it could have gotten him kicked out. Later, after high school, he would stroll through a bar, say hi to a chick......chick's boyfriend would get pissed and although much bigger, challange him. A couple of seconds later, boom bam, and the boyfriend is knocked out on the floor.

I always tried to stay on this guys good side.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Former Twins News (8/23/2016 2:56:46 PM)

Little further south for Oswaldo...about as far as he can go now.

OF Oswaldo Arcia, who was DFA'd last week by #Rays, claimed off waivers by #Marlins

Black 47 -> RE: Former Twins News (8/24/2016 12:11:42 AM)

Mike Dyer could have been the next John Smoltz had arm injuries not derailed his career.

Black 47 -> RE: Former Twins News (8/24/2016 12:13:08 AM)

Mark Guthrie. One of the most underrated Twins of all time.

Black 47 -> RE: Former Twins News (8/24/2016 12:13:48 AM)

Gary Wayne was just plain funky.

Black 47 -> RE: Former Twins News (8/24/2016 12:15:21 AM)

German Gonzalez could really bring it.

No, Dyer had the same rib surgery that Hughes just had. His biggest weakness was between his ears.

Black 47 -> RE: Former Twins News (8/24/2016 11:14:01 AM)

I sure had high hopes for the kid.

Black 47 -> RE: Former Twins News (8/24/2016 11:21:33 AM)

I remember right after the Viola trade, Twins are at New York. Dyer pitches 7 brilliant shutout innings. David West comes in for the 8th and BAM! Jesse Barfield 3-run HR and wastes Dyer's gem.

Let him pitch his way off that list. I know it is early, but for now, he belongs there.

TJSweens -> RE: Former Twins News (8/24/2016 1:40:31 PM)

Absolutely. He is 22 years old already and has 8 major league starts under his belt. He should making noise in the Cy Young conversation already.

In your opinion. You seem to forget that quite often on this forum.

It is your opinion. It isn't fact. As was the list.....it was murf's opinion.

Me.....I put Kyle Gibson on the list instead of a 22 year old kid like Berrios. But that is my opinion.

But that is my opinion.

Murph's list. Not mine. [:D] It's a good list though except for Berrios. Swap him out for Gibson. I guarantee you Berrios has a MUCH better career than Gibson, who could be out of the league soon.

I just edited and changed it.
