Hell yeah

But I used to latch on to that type

TJSweens -> RE: Former Twins News (8/21/2017 9:34:54 AM)

I just remember him flexing his biceps and saying "this is the stuff legends are made of". Or when the Twins used to play their wives on Mother's Day, Walton coming out with the lineup card in his uniform top and boxer shorts. He was a bit a character.

So he was the Mark Davidson of the 70s?

sixthwi -> RE: Former Twins News (8/21/2017 10:53:51 AM)

I remember him too. I didn't realize he only had more than 100 at bats in the majors once in his career - in 1970 with the Brewers.

Hmmmmm
I guess I like characters.
Who knew?

McPhail maybe the most important executive in the orgs history IMO

He doesn't look that much different than when he was running the show at the Dome.

That shocked me more. Cuddy looks old.

TJSweens -> RE: Former Twins News (8/21/2017 9:48:33 PM)

I didn't think Cuddy looked that old. Clearly, he's prematurely gray, but he still looked pretty good.

All I know Is Radke looked like he's still playing
I'd have offered him a contract if I was the Twins
Melville or Radke last night? I take my chances on Rad Brad

Agreed

Radke and Hunter both looked like they could still help.

I'd take my chances on Bert, Jack or Jim Kaat over Melville.

The white whale was absolutely safe with Melville on the mound.

The Rays have designated corner infielder Trevor Plouffe for assignment, per Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times (Twitter link). Plouffe’s roster spot will go to righty Andrew Kittredge tomorrow, though that’ll be just a one-day placeholder move until Alex Cobb is activated to start Thursday’s game.

The longtime Twins infielder was picked up by the Rays after a disappointing start to his lone season with the Athletics, but Plouffe’s struggles in St. Petersburg proved to be greater than in the Bay Area. Through 82 plate appearances as a member of the Rays, he’s batted .178/.268/.247 with a homer and a pair of doubles. All told, Plouffe has posted a .204/.274/.325 batting line and eight homers through 281 PAs.

Seemed to get too bulky. Slowed the bat down.

Just in time for fantasy football.

Didn't someone here suggest we give this guy an extention a year ago? And not put Sano at 3B?

Are you still sticking to your guns on that one Dustin?

We could add him to our mix. I believe he COULD get on the postseason roster if he replaces an injured player.
