Outstanding news.
Becoming winners, never a bad thing.
EXPECT to win. At every level.
Dougie has helped this org so much with that ....

Had high hopes for Wimmer. What kind of season did that Eades have?

Awesome. Keep playing boys.
Thanks Ed, never remember to check in on those scores.

Dougie will probably go work for Gardy in Detroit, if that happens.

So that makes the heir apparent.

JAKE MAUER

now THAT would piss me off enough to put me over the edge.
Do NOT let that happen.

They're going to have to do something w/Dougie. No doubt he'll be sought after. Gardy would probably want him to relate to the younger players, since he's so out of touch.

Twins will not figure out how to keep him. Just not that smart.

Dougie was my first choice over Molitor. I'd hate to lose him.

Eades had a near-full year. Finally stayed healthy until an oblique injury late in the season.

Numbers were ok. The fact he pitched a whole year was good.

Was a bummer on Wimmers. Has been pretty decent from the pen. This hiccup probably will be overcome, but not a good thing.

And isn't Cedar Rapids waiting on the winner of the east division to determine their next and final round opponent?

Stu at 19

the only catcher.

3B are 2 kids from rook ball.

I put Gonsalves >> Stewart and Meyer. I must over-value OF's Kepler to me >> Polanco.

Jay as the #3 with only OK year at FTM. Sure [&o]

I agree Ed. I don't think Stewart cracks my Top 10.

Zach Jones is wearing his AFL cap in that pic. Classic. I want one of those.

Nope
I move Duff up based on what he's done in the bigs, >> Rogers
Darnell/Wheeler are top 30? Ick. Seriously they are average-at -best LH relievers right now; they can't get guys out consistently as starters.

twinsfan -> RE: Players and prospects III (9/16/2015 1:33:57 PM)

My Top 5:

1. Buxton
2. Berrios
3. Kepler
4. Gordon
5. Gonsalves

MDK -> RE: Players and prospects III (9/16/2015 1:59:16 PM)

Don't you have to put Duffey in one's top 5 given how well he has done at the MLB level.....a bad first outing and then pretty darn good since then?

I think he has way too much movement on his breaking ball, sharp and late, to discount this kid.

Given what he has already shown, is he a prospect?

Meyer's too high on the list

I'm hesitant to get too high on Duffey long-term based on what I've heard from Dustin, the eternal optimist. His reports on Duffey are not high.

MDK -> RE: Players and prospects III (9/16/2015 2:02:29 PM)

Smalley was talking about Duffey and noted that when he struck out Martinez the other night with his curveball, Martinez rarely K's and was frozen with Duffey's breaking pitch.

I don't see how scouts rate his curve ball as slightly above average.

I doesn't bend like Blyleven's?

Smalley said the big difference was Blyleven's was a harder curve or more velocity....both have sharp late breaks but Duffey's actually curved more.

I think because his curve is slower, batters can pick up the spin better than they could with Blyleven's curve.

I don't know if Roy is correct but I trust his analysis more than my own.

I do know that Duffey's curve is pretty impressive.
