Ft. Myers: Jordan Balazovic: 7 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 10 K

----------------------

7 perfect innings in his Ft Myers debut! What does a guy have to do to get any attention these days? 21 up. 21 down. That's INSANE!!!

Yeah, he’s no Scott Baker.

I was there. 😂

You were at Scott Baker's near-perfecto?

Yes I was..... There for Scott Erickson's no hitter. I was mixing them up.

@SamDykstraMiLB

#MNTwins No. 3 prospect Brusdar Graterol was taken out in the sixth inning of his start with @BlueWahoosBBall, due to what looked like an injury. Was sitting 96-98 mph with his fastball, but his last pitch was at just 90 mph. No clear indication yet what was bothering him.

Twins' Brusdar Graterol: Removal deemed precautionary

Graterol was removed from his start with Double-A Pensacola on Wednesday due to tightness in his trapezius, Darren Wolfson of SKOR North reports.

Graterol had allowed just two hits and one walk through 5.1 scoreless frames before exiting Wednesday's contest. Fortunately, his removal was deemed precautionary and the young right-hander is expected to make his next start on schedule, though the Twins will continue to monitor him carefully over the next few days.

twinsfan -> RE: Players and prospects III (5/8/2019 1:49:32 PM)

I already posted the Graterol injury.

Sano has three hits last night
Larnach hit two home runs

Sano getting singles and doubles is the key. If he swings for the fences, he will K a LOT! I would rather he hit 20-25 HR in a season and bat .275 than hit 35 HR, bat .218 and strike out 200 times in a season.

I want Sano to hit the ball and not strike out much. The HRs will come if he is hitting. He should not be swinging for the fences. His natural power will still bomb 30 Hrs a year with that approach.

Thursday highlights

Lewin Diaz three homers and a singe in FTM win

SoMnFan -> RE: Players and prospects III (5/17/2019 2:32:15 PM)

Thursday’s Minor League matchup between Class A Advanced Fort Myers and Bradenton featured another test of baseball’s unwritten rules -- and it happened to involve one of the game’s top prospects.
Shortstop Royce Lewis, the Twins top-ranked prospect and baseball’s No. 7 prospect overall per MLB Pipeline, did a quick set of pushups after knocking a fifth-inning double to the left-center-field wall. That didn’t appear to sit well with Bradenton pitcher Gavin Wallace, who threw a pitch behind Lewis in his next plate appearance in the sixth. Wallace was ejected alongside Bradenton manager Wyatt Toregas and shortstop Robbie Glendinning after the pitch.
Opinions differed on the reasons behind Lewis’ pushups; a Bradenton broadcaster stated that Lewis was “hot dogging” at second base, while Fort Myers’ official Twitter speculated he might have been “punishing” himself for not hitting the ball farther.
Fort Myers went on to win, 13-7, with the incident involving Lewis perhaps overshadowing a three-homer game by Twins prospect Lewin Diaz. Lewis, Minnesota’s No. 1 overall Draft pick in 2017, is slashing .233/.310/.320 with nine doubles to begin 2019.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Players and prospects III (5/17/2019 6:22:25 PM)

Lewis was not hot dogging, per what I read

Tough crap for Hi A loser boys. See you in the show [:'(]
