I see there's outrage about the name Wichita Wind Surge. There are petitions to change the name. I think it's a cool name. The logo of a unicorn running thru a W doesn't make sense to me though.

What's the outrage?

More of your fake news?

https://www.change.org/p/outraged-wichitans-change-the-horrible-name-for-wichita-s-new-baseball-team

We love our city but when moves happen that we all question we all join together to do something about it! Wichita Wind Surge is a horrible name. The logo looks like Pegasus and the taxpayers had basically no say. At least let the taxpayers name the team. We paid for it after all. This petition is to change the name to anything else! We might as well be named the Wichita Mmmm mm mmm mudslides!!!!

Almost 10,000 signatures on the petition.

looks to be real outrage. Some of this started already 2 years ago. No idea when they started the change.org deal. Are they picketing or just mad?

TJSweens -> RE: Players and prospects III (6/3/2021 9:08:01 AM)

Charlie Barnes will be here soon. I can feel it in my bones. After a year of watching Haap, Shoemaker, Uber, Ober,...why the hell not? My expectations have been so drastically lowered, I look forward to it.

Looks like we hit the jackpot with Wallner!

TJSweens -> RE: Players and prospects III (6/4/2021 11:31:36 AM)

Wallner and Canterino look very promising out of that draft. Cavaco is down the path to becoming Matt Moses II.

Wallner is injured/wrist. Comp is Rooker with more athleticism.

Cavaco just came back from injury and and a good first game back.
