Draft Progress Wonder Twins ERA – 2020

1. Aaron Sabato Gigante RHB 1B – Low A .163/ .358/ .272/ .630
2. Alerick Soularie LHB OF/1B – Much like D-Day in Animal House, there appears to be no record of his existence in the Twins system. Playing gin rummy with Landon Leach
3. Marco Raya RHP - Extended ST waiting for Gulf League to start
4. Kala'i Rosario RHB OF / Extended ST waiting for Gulf League to start

Sabato mostly singles hitter trying to climb out of sub .100 avg

Soularie will be in FTM rook ball with the other 2

I thought Sabato Gigante was supposed to be a power hitter? I found Soularie. He was assigned to The Mighty Mussels on May 1 and is on the IL.

Guessing Sabato was flailing at a high rate so they're fixing stuff. He's started hitting and striking out less. Baby steps

Started out 1-18 with 11 strikeouts. Wound up with 40 strikeouts in 80 at bats in May

has 2 in first 12 this month

In that case he is right on target given our 8 year development plan for prospects.

Karl Juhnke -> RE: Players and prospects III (6/12/2021 8:34:26 AM)

I was at the Saints game last night. First AAA in over 20 years since I lived in Toledo and went to Mud Hens games. Good time.

What struck me was the age of the lineup. The youngest guy in the lineup? Luis Arraez…by almost 3 years. Average age of the starting lineup was 28.6. Minus Arraez it was 29.1. I kept looking up the players and it was all 8-12 year journeymen minor league vets a few of whom who had cups of coffee in the majors with other teams.

I admit I haven’t followed Twins minors closely but I was at least expecting to see a few up and coming young prospects. Nope. Not a one.

Karl Juhnke -> RE: Players and prospects III (6/12/2021 8:36:46 AM)

Arraez looked good. He had a sharply hit fly out, a single and two ground outs, and he got an RBI with one of the ground outs, there were runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs.

Rooker hit a bomb HR. Over the bullpens and onto the outfield concourse.

Karl Juhnke -> RE: Players and prospects III (6/12/2021 8:57:16 AM)

And the starting pitcher, Whalen was delivering for Amazon 3 months ago. Watch out Uber driver Dobnak!
