Those are some ugly numbers from our guys. [:@]

Seems they've all been trending downward as the AFL goes on. A lot of team losses too.

djskillz -> RE: Players and prospects III (11/14/2014 10:20:08 AM)

That's a LONG year. Not that concerned.

I was thinking the same thing, Rosario must be getting pretty tired about now

He is looking to take some time off and spend it in Colorado or Washington...[;)]

Wait.....that's what got him into trouble originally.[:-]

I also think we can put too much into "numbers" in the AFL, just like ST. It's a really small sample size with a lot of varying factors. So to me the only thing to really glean is just how someone "looks" or if they're healthy, in a good place mentally, etc.

wethrock -> RE: Players and prospects III (11/14/2014 11:28:42 AM)

BaseballAmerica's Top-10 prospect list just out: 1-Buxton; 2-Sano; 3-Berrios; 4-Stewart; 5-Meyer; 6-Gordon; 7-Burdi; 8-Polanco; 9-May; 10-Rosario. Of the players I've seen at AA, I cannot disagree with the list.

AFL championship game on MLB Network now. Was able to see Rosario go 2-2 with a HR and 2 RBI until wife said "this is boring" and now we are watching DIY Network.

Rosario is 3-3 thru 6, Kepler 0-3, Rogers has allowed a run, game tied at 7

twinsfan -> RE: Players and prospects III (11/15/2014 4:41:19 PM)

Chance to take the lead. Kepler up with Rosario on 2nd and 1 out in 7th.

twinsfan -> RE: Players and prospects III (11/15/2014 4:41:42 PM)

Bases juiced.

twinsfan -> RE: Players and prospects III (11/15/2014 4:43:05 PM)

Kepler walked for the potential game winning RBI. Watch your back, Joe Mauer. There's a new sheriff on your heels.

twinsfan -> RE: Players and prospects III (11/15/2014 4:44:24 PM)

10-7 Salt River. Get the champagne ready.

twinsfan -> RE: Players and prospects III (11/15/2014 4:52:42 PM)

What happened to the pitch clock? Championship exception? Or did they give up on it? Also, I see the hitters step out of the box, and the ump occasionally points at the box to encourage the hitter to get back in. It's mostly ineffective. Play isn't any quicker than normal from what I'm seeing.

twinsfan -> RE: Players and prospects III (11/15/2014 4:54:35 PM)

14-7 now and still only 1 out in the 7th.

twinsfan -> RE: Players and prospects III (11/15/2014 4:58:45 PM)

Rosario 4-4. Coming up with a chance for the cycle. Needs a triple.

twinsfan -> RE: Players and prospects III (11/15/2014 5:03:07 PM)

Rosario lined out to RF to end the 7th.

twinsfan -> RE: Players and prospects III (11/15/2014 5:25:06 PM)

Rosario AFL MVP?

Mr. Ed -> RE: Players and prospects III (11/16/2014 5:23:37 AM)

Rosario goes 4-5/double/HR/2r/2RBI in final, 14-7 win

Kepler 0-4/Bb/R/RBI

Rogers 1.2IP H/R/HR

twinsfan -> RE: Players and prospects III (11/17/2014 8:17:15 AM)

Scottsdale Scorpions first baseman Greg Bird (Yankees), who won the Joe Black MVP Award, shared the league home-run title with Surprise Saguaros outfielder Hunter Renfroe (Padres). They each hit six homers and, for good measure, added another long ball in the Fall Stars Game.

Eddie Rosario (Twins) settled for second place in hitting and steals (10), while compiling .330/.345/.410 numbers. He boosted his stock, after serving a drug suspension and batting .237 in Double-A. He showed pure hitting ability, but still left questions about whether he has enough power for a corner outfielder.

You mean he doesn't have power like Jordan Schafer?

Which is apparently why the Twins are "pursuing" outfield help this offseason.

Rosario should be a CF, and if not the arm, a 2B.

And if not that?

No idea.

This team has too many slappies the way it is.

I like the numbers he's had in the past, but he's not a corner OF. The Twins decided he needed to be one.

And they've been right soooooooo many times [&o]
