Looks like a big road win. Six up with 48 seconds to go. Hope it doesn't jinx them.

Told you this was a fun team to watch, Scott.

And this was a sloppy, tired game.

I love that Maya didn't try to "force 30". She wasn't sharp today, so she concentrated on being a team player.

I flat-out love how she plays. Always have.
Guile.
Guts.
Anger.
Makes no apologies. "oh, did I elbow you there? whoops. Game on"

I watched Wolves games in the background while doing something else, but I'm usually glued to the Lynx.

The Lynx just went 3-0 on an absolutely brutal stretch of 3 games in 4 days. They won game 1 and then didn't catch a flight back to the Twin Cities until 4:00 AM, so they could play a matinee game the next day. Then get a brief rest so they can play another matinee game on Monday. All of this without an all star forward and their 2 top reserves and with 2 of their stars colliding heads in game 2 with Maya needing stitches over her eye. This all happened for one simple reason. Winners win. They don't let fatigue keep them from making plays down the stretch, they don't complain about who can't play, they don't whine about the schedule. They just win.

SMF always does the honors for the Wild, so I'll take a shot a 3 stars

*** Maya Moore. Not a great scoring game, but she did a great job on EDD. They cancelled each other out today.
** Simone Augustus. Even though her scoring was a little off as well she still hit big shots at big times.
* Lindsey Whalen. Took over down the stretch. As usual she grinds the other PG down over the course of the game. Easily the most physical PG in the league.

Honorable mentions:
Janel McCarville. She has emerged as the best pick and roll post player in the WNBA.
Tan White: 10 pts and 4 steals off the bench. What a great addition to the lineup.

Good stuff guys.
Winners win. Yup.
We badly need more of that in this town.

Saw some of it today .. but remember a lot of it last year ... where ... they'd need a big bucket down the stretch, to make a 4 point lead a 7 point lead., and BAM. They hit it.
Every mens team in this town in my entire lifetime, would have their sphincters so tight at that point, they couldn't cast up a shot, or a pass, or a throw, or catch a ball, or make a tackle, or ... you get my point.
Winners win. Yup.

My Dads almost 90, I'm almost 60, and our whole lifetimes, our favorite joke we started during the Grant years, has always been (after the MN team scores its first points/bucket/FG/goal ... you name it ... once we score, we always crack... "that's enough. Now just HOLD ON. These girls don't do that.
Its always been how I define dynasties and huge winners.
The 49ers, the Yankees, the Celtics, the Lakers, the Steelers ... when they would get up by ten, they were in a panic to get up by twenty. And usually did. While MN teams, they just simply panic.
Fun to watch a MN team that gets it.

I was very upset that I couldn't watch the last game on all access or my firstrowsportsus.eu link. I guess that ESPN has some deal that blacks out all access when they have the game. BS.

Seriously no way in Hell. Now I hope I am wrong about this. I think they started with 9 or 10 wins season before last but that is off the top of my head and likely wrong.
