Randle would be my 2nd - if it were a thread asking for top 1 and 2, or top O and D...
I have this memory, a bit foggy, might have been a Monday nighter against the Pack. They showed Randle on the bench with his coach and they were looking at a photograph of a play and it was essentially him against the entire offensive front...with Madden super imposing his thoughts over it like - guys, I'm doing all I can - where's the help!
Been tough to follow the winding definitions of what we're looking for here.
Most important or successful Viking?
Or the guy we'd want to have a beer with.
Fran changed the game of football. By far the most important Viking of my lifetime.
Moss picked up that torch nicely.
Page Marshall Eller Washington Gilliam, the Carters are easy choices for greatness.
Picked up by Millard and Doleman and Randle.
Bill Brown and Dave Osborn WERE guys you could have a beer with, made them special.
That torch was picked up by Senser and Kramer.
Personal favorites for me were always guys who were fringe players who gave us all hope we coulda played.
Sammy Johnson, Keith Nord, Bobby Bryant, Chris Walsh.
And that torch has been passed to Adam Thielen.
I also always loved our linebackers.
Hilgenberg Warwick Siemon, Studwell and Del Rio
Well, I don't know if you could sit down and have A beer with Kramer.
Fortunately got to, once.
