Did the Wolves agree to sign Cole Aldrich? I have heard some rumors to this effect, but no confirmation stories yet.

So can anyone help do some analysis on the Lakers signings? I'm ok with 4/50 to reup Clarkson. But then they signed a stiff for 4/55, some guy named Mazgov or whatever. Then Deng for 4/72.

I know they have cap room but did they blow it? How is Deng? Is he a PF? Anything on the Russian stiff?

Deng is great. Can be a big SF or a small PF. Decent scorer, decent shooter, good defender. 4 years may be a bit much.

Mongol is a decent role player. Big body, some skills.

LA has a ton of solid role players, not sure they have any stars.

Thanks. I guess they have to wait for the young core (DeAngelo, Ingram, Clarkson, Randle) to grow and in the meantime sign some role players. I think Nance Jr is a sleeper.

Just another team at this point.

Need another defender(Byombo, Ezeli) to get to respectability(30-35 wins) imo.

Actually they need the current group to learn to play defense because they already have the following as their top 8:

Russell
Clarkson
Lou Williams
Randle
Nance
Ingram
Deng
Molotov

Seems Deng and Molotov are the only ones who even know what defense is. Maybe Ingram does.

The rest of them will have to play D to go anywhere no matter who is signed because they have the bulk of the minutes.

Who is Molotov?

Who is Molotov?

He's very explosive.

That would be awesome

Through one game in SL he is showing a lot of similarity.

Kid has some shake n bake and can get to the rim. He has a lot of potential.

He will have to work hard though to master the weak parts of his game.

There has been many of prospects that have had a superior talent but either did not have it between the ears or the drive to become great. Let's hope this kid has the heart.

Sure seems like he has the heart. First half was interesting last night. He showed some great strengths, but was super sloppy with the ball and had some horribly off target jump shots. Second half was virtual perfection.

The talk coming into this draft was how bad it was going to be. Wolves end up with the fifth pick and I am convinced we have drafted a guy who is going to make a very large difference on our team. Likely taking over as starting PG by the time Ricky's contract is up. Or better yet our starting SG relegating LaVine to being a bench superstar.

But his overall score is 96. He must be really good!

Too bad he only got a 7 for intangibles...

Am I the only one that sees the irony in a rating system that assigns points for "intangibles"?
