CBS Sports keeps sending me notices that it's time to reactivate the Picks Pool. I dunno. Seems a little early to me but I'm nothing if not compliant.

So the pool is officially reactivated and everyone has 42 days to make their first pick.

NOW we're getting a bit closer and within range of time to start thinking about this stuff.

The name of the pool is:

Pick, Weigh and Gloat

and the password is: winners

Son talked me into putting a team together this year to join his league.
I'm a huge Fantasy-hater (sports anyway)
I had ESPN auto-pick my team the other night.
May be the worst fantasy team ever assembled.
Going to be an awesome season!

But on the other hand you could be the champion of the picks pool!

The way my well-thought-out picks routinely land me at the bottom of the pool, I'm going to try having a monkey throw darts at a board for my picks this year.

Does anyone have a monkey?

I thought I was in position to win when Arizona(would have gained 6 pts on Emmer) lined up for that game winning field goal last night. As it is with Pittsburgh in control I am tied. Comes down to His 2 and my 1 on Rams. Go Niners preserve my tie for a week 1 co-win. I don't remember if I have ever finished 1st or even tied for 1st on any given week.

I won't see it so in case LA wins, Congrats Kevin Emmer! and if the Niners win, Congrats Kevin Emmer!

Thank goodness for the reminder e-mails from the sites for both the picks pool and the survivor pool. I swear I'd miss picking for half of the weeks if they didn't send me a reminder.

So, in other words, my picks are in for this week! No big secret from me - I'm picking the Vikings over the Packers (but not in the Survivor Pool).

Thanks Tim!

No worries, I tend to start out hot and then crash and burn into mediocrity as season goes on..

Kevin I measure myself with you. It looks our picks, all the same but one, this week were not the winning answer!

Let me be the first to congratulate Lynn on her week 6 picks victory!

Arizona is as schizophrenic as Detroit and Pittsburgh, but I say the game tonight goes easily in their favor.

Thanks Tim. I haven't even looked at the site since about noon yesterday. A lot of us picked the same teams, both winners and losers.

I have been as high as 10 on GB and as low as 3 on the Bears. I don't see how Green Bay can win any game. The Bears are functional between the 20s on offense but terrible in the Red.

Unfortunately, Green Bay just won a game. Even when I pick them in the pool I still hope they lose - but it was hard for them to lose against a really bad Bears team with a third string quarterback.

Just once (for an entire season) I'd like to see Green Bay have to start a third string quarterback.

Just once I would like to see the Packers pay for being short handed at two positions. I could argue that they did get exposed at corner against Dallas, but unlike Pittsburgh who is facing New England without Big Ben, the Packers get a team that they can beat with practice squad players on a week where they would have not been competitive against a playoff caliber team.

We get the Bears on 11 days rest. Cutler will probably be back, while that is not a bad thing it is not the same thing that GB got last night. Cutler is always capable of getting hot for a while and playing up to his skill set.

How lucky is Seattle. The have 1 win over Miami that took horseshoes to survive. They got past Atlanta in the greatest of non call ways. Now last night they once again go witch doctor on a kicker in a less than 30 yard kick situation. The only karma that didn't go their way after getting destroyed in the yardage and time of Poss game was voodooing their own kicker, who has a mental thing with ASU Stadium.

Why do I care on the picks pool? Because I had the most to gain out of the whole pool with my 8 on Arizona. Hey Bruce why didn't you take the points every time you were in the redzone ya jackass! Arizona left points all over the field can't punch it in from 1 inch and then get pissed when the kicker does what kickers sometimes do at the end of games. Should have never come down to that. Give Pete Carroll credit he will keep hanging around if you refuse to beat his team.

On more thing, How come Bennett gets to hurdle centers and block field goals when the rule clearly states if you make contact it is a penalty? Seattle getting away with these moves are like when Aaron Rodgers9especiall 2015) used to get the free play for off sides that virtually no other team got. Everybody else in league would get a whistle play blown dead

Just in case any one wonders when they go to make their picks this week - I deleted the players who haven't picked either this year or, in some cases, for several years. It just cleans up the board a bit. Anyone can get back in for future years, so it doesn't mean they are gone for good, but if they haven't participated for any of the weeks this year, it just seemed cleaner to take them off the list.

Thanks for the maintenance Lynn. And thanks for making the extra stuff fun! Looks like I am neck and neck with you for 3rd place this year.

I was so bummed about this week's game that I had forgotten to even look at the results of the pick's pool. I see that seven of our active members didn't even pick this week. I guess a general malaise has settled in, and I don't blame anyone for that.

Tough times.

Congrats Zubair, I chased but accepted your inevitable victory 4-6 weeks before I gave up on our Purple's chances of winning the division.
