Chance for a miracle snag there. Shame. Would much rather see the Eagles fans eat it having the Pats down 4th and 10 with 91 yards to go and giving it up.

Oh well...glad it`s over. Stupid Eagles.

So the Super Bowl MVP is going back to the bench. That is weird.

I don't know what the hell Philly does at QB now...
How do you bench Foles after that run?

They may trade him.

Would Foles want to be on the bench after this?

Trade for him and you have a dirt cheap starting QB.

Looked a little Pro Bowlish at times with guys running wide open but a great game to watch.

QBs were awesome.

Praise Jesus and glory to god. Nice way to finish it all off.

Probably would have been less distasteful coming from Viking players and coaches.

At least we lost on the road to a better team good enough to win it all.

They will get a 2nd rounder minimum for him.

Eagles were awesome.

I love how they dominated the playoffs when they were labeled the #6 seed in the NFC....despite really being the #1 seed. Pats can go home. Yeah, you won 5. Now you done. Nobody bowing down to you anymore.

That was a sad excuse for defense...both teams. So when I say Eagles were awesome, I only mean the offense...mostly Foles. We need another early 2000s Ravens defense to turn this league away from offenses just doing whatever they want.

I really don't like how Minnesota media (KFAN, ,1500 and Strib in particular) declared the Vikes were guaranteed to beat Philly in Philly and go to the SB in MPLS. Just stupid to be that over-confident. WHY???? Grown men and women acting like fools.

Not sure you trade a SB MVP when Wentz is coming back from multiple ligament tears.

If they don't, he walks for nothing in February 2019.

How much of a difference would playing Butler have made?

Was he like Rhodes good or just an average DB?

As bad as they got shredded it seems like he would have helped some.

Be interesting to read about it as more details come out.

You look at all of the Patriots Super Bowls and if they had "Vikings" luck they could have lost most of them.

Take a look at the Boston Globe sports page (Google it) and see they're all over that apparent controversial move. Naturally Belicheat is pretty mum on it. Love it.

Awesome game. Unhappy with the result, and some calls, but one helluva fun game.
Really admire The Eagles coaching decisions.
Great effort from Brady to do all he could, incredible numbers.
The trick plays were awesome, coulda broke the game open if Tm had caught that one.
Mpls did itself proud, so cool to see the week unfold. Loved it all.
Best halftime ever, IMO.
Only thing that hurts me is another franchise getting its first SB title ahead of us. That sucks, hard.
Pretty disrespectful reactions from most eagles as well, very little recognition of the team that fought them to the end.
The Foles/Wentz roles will be very interesting to watch.

I heard an unverifed stat that the Patriots had a grand total of
6 penalties called against them in the Playoffs and that 4 of those came against Tennessee.

If true, then shame on the NFL and it’s Double Standard.

Real happy for Foles and the Eagles though.

Not Dick and Bert

When Oregon lost to Auburn, Gene Chizich said they had God on their side.
Always tough to beat Auburn, the refs, Cam Newton, and GOD.

IMO, the penalties dry up when you get deep into the playoffs. Even more reason why a dynamic offense is a must.

You likely will never be able to grind out a victory in a big spot by running and defense.

also still wondering how a NE receiver on the final play can get obliterated by a Philly DB about 15 yards into the route, while everyone is watching, and it's ignored?
Very simple to find it, NE sends three on the same fly pattern, watch the trailing WR once. Gets hit blatantly, stops him from completing the route.
All kinds of interesting calls yesterday, both ways. Did like the Head Ref tho, seems like a solid dude. Beats the hell out of Hochuli.

Yeah,
But not that dry.
Considering every run play is a hold and every pass play is an interference for the most part.

The only defense of a no-call there is maybe Brady is out of the pocket scrambling and contact is permitted. But, really, it should have been a 5 yard illegal contact call.

Loved the game that Gronk had
Said right after half, "gotta go to him"
He basically took over. The beast of all beasts.
Ertz looks to be the next big deal at TE. But I've loved the Gronk years.
