I'm actually in Indy right now, but I'm not at the combine. My oldest son is working out with scouts from the UnderArmour national baseball team. It's kind of like a combine, but for baseball. He was one of 39 regional invites. Pretty cool.

Congrats. That's big stuff.

Real cool! When I was that age baseball was the greatest!

Defensive players putting up some great numbers at combine.

Hopefully pushing Lamp or Feeney down to #48.

This would be so ironic. Just saw a mock on bleacher report with the Eagles drafting John Ross with what would have been the Vikings first round pick.

Big ten network just highlighted how Myrick the MICHIGAN db is the fastest at the combine. How can the Big 10 Network get that one wrong?

I'm not sure if your question is serious but I will spell it out. Last year we use our first round pick on possibly the slowest WR ever selected in the first round and this year our first round pick is traded to another team that uses it on the fastest WR ever drafted.

Scout on Mixon:
That was a 1st rd RB workout in any draft class. Explosive in every rep, rare route running/hands, 228, huge trunk, ran 447

Joe Mixon left pro day with Vikings HC Mike Zimmer, putter still in tow. Zimmer told @James_Poling putter was a gift from Roy Williams

I had read 4.43 on Mixon

fwiw...the hitting a girl thing was pretty much self defense

the oddest thing was that the nfl didn't even give him the courtesy of the psych exams and interviews that the combine is designed for as much as showing off athleticism

even though Mixon may be first rd talent and a good fit, I'd be pretty disappointed if we do not take OL in rd 2 even if he falls to us there

fwiw....its not self-defense when somebody walks away from the situation, then you follow them and get in their face. Then they respond.

I know Mixon is a great prospect...for me, its a problem if we draft him. Not sure how to deal with that.

He was in so much danger from a drunk girl that he had to punch her in the face breaking 4 bones?

well, yeah...agreed, sounded like she was relentlessly attacking him

kind of like squishing the mosquito that keeps bugging you

not saying it's right, but that it wasn't like the standard wife beater scenario

It was fully avoidable by Mixon.

"At the end of the night, a group of apparently drunk people started harassing us. Some of my teammates were wise enough to leave. I did not, and I am sorry."

It was completely wrong for him to punch her and she totally deserved it.

There I said it.
I can't explain it but it's true,

I'd take Mixon with one of our 3rds

We must draft the best Oline prospect on the board with pick 48.

Years of neglect has pigoened holed us

Actually I can explain it.

Nobody should go around hitting anybody.
Nobody should go around harrassing or antogonizing anybody because that is wrong and you might get punched.

I'd like to hear what each said that led up to the melee.

There was a dude standing there that heard everything.

No,
Ray Rice hit his wife.
I assume all wives antagonize at times and some even harrass their husbands at times.
None of them deserve to be hit for that.

if you say so...

girls deserve to get hit if they are not married to the man that hits them...

OK

That's not what I said.

I said nobody should hit anybody and that nobody should go around popping off to strangers because you might get hit.
I also said that some wives pop off to their husbands but they still deserve not to be hit.

Has anyone watched enough LSU football to have a good opinion of that Pocic kid? He appears to be really tall for a center, but a lot of Fournette's big runs started with a block from him. Maybe he could be had with our 2 or earliest 3.
