Who the hell is KJ?

My vote goes to the Doctor!

Kevin Johnson

That's what first came to my mind but how does Kevin Johnson make this list?

How does he NOT make this list?

He was really good before the injuries?

He doesn't belong in this poll. I could name 30 players more deserving than KJ

Shakey IMO Who was your guy refers to players a person liked. Usually people liked the very best players, but I liked KJ a lot. Without question he would be in my top ten.
KJ was probably meant to be Kareem. However, He isn't Kareem Jabbar. He is Kareem Abdul-Jabbar so initials should have been KAJ to refer to him.

My Favorite NBA Players. No particular order.
Karl Malone, Kevin Johnson, Charles Barkley, Slick Watts, Rick Barry, Kevin Garnett, LeBron James, Magic, Pete Maravich, and Wilt. ABA marvels Dr. J, Moses Malone, and Artis Gilmore are a separate list. So Jabbar for example did not make that list but the real KJ did.

I have never heard Kareem referred to as "KJ." Never. Anyone that followed the NBA in the 80s and 90s knows that KJ can only mean Kevin Johnson.

So it was Kevin Johnson all along. No way the original poster messed up. Who was that?

LOL I wasn't the OP. I think it was you. Anyway just messing around not serious at all. So it was Kevin Johnson from the start. He just seemed a little out of place among that Near Mount Rushmore Group.

There have been 4 30 point 20 assist games in NBA history. They are more rare than quadruple doubles. Magic got the first in 1988, Kevin Johnson got the next two in 1989 and 1991. Shockingly the other was Mahmoud Abdul Rauf. Maybe Westbrook gets the next one. Chris Paul came close once.

Wow!! No votes for Jordan. It's safe to say his popularity has plummeted since his playing days. I wonder if the Wizards years really hurt him in that regard.

IMO Jordan & Pippen's Offense was overated....it was their defense that most teams couldn't do anything against. As good as the King is I don't remember him playing defense like Jordan. I don't remember Jordan taking a break on the defensive side---Lebron does have 5 1st Team defense selections.

Jordan 9 years 1st Team Defense (Played 12 full years) & led the league in steals 3 years too...
Kobe 9 years 1st Team Defense
Pippen 8 years 1st Team Defense

Ya, I don't put a ton of stock in that stuff (in all sports) because it's mostly done by old writers. But no doubt both were great on defense. Obviously I think Jordan was great. I just think he's more like the 3rd-5th best ever instead of the "clear #1" like a lot of people do. It's all subjective.

As low paid as Jordan was for so many seasons---(basketball was his 2nd income). He was so valuable to WGN and Chicago sports. I remember my little brother watching Jordan over anything else on.

Not too many of the stars could say they played for the love of the game.....

You had 4 options and KJ was one of them. That made your poll irrelevant.

You could have added 50 players other than KJ.

Shakey you're being a total dick now. He could have added 5000 players other than KJ, but he chose KJ. He was one of my ten favorite players ever and he was Twinsfans favorite player ever. He created the poll for players that people liked. What is wrong with you.

Whatever you say KG, you've become kind of a caricature of yourself. So I take anything you say with a smile.

1984 Finals was best ever.

1986 Boston would have beat LA.

1987 Finals Boston got screwed in game 4. Boston should have been up 3-2 heading back to LA.

Yep. LA was pretty clearly the better team most of those years. The best ever IMO. But I'd put those Celtics teams 2nd all time. I think both would destroy the 90's Bulls.

That was great basketball and Lakers got the best of them. The Captain, Magic, Big Game James....

I was a big Scott fan (player, not coach). He was almost the perfect complementary player on some of those teams.

Absolute master at using screens, even when they weren't actually set. Ran hard, used the bodies then squared up, elevated and released as quick and smoothly as anybody.

They were two pretty complete teams. Lakers had more talent most years, but with Bird playing you never knew. Wonder how these teams would match up with Golden Sate?
