I do believe we are sitting on the most awesome Vikings defense ever.

They've got awfully big shoes to fill with '69, '70 and '75.

I'd be pleased as punch if they ever just get honorable mention with that group.

Interesting how the Vikings got Sinkfield. I am rooting for him and predicting that he makes the 53 man squad.

I'm looking for a well rounded TEAM. You can get lucky with the killer defense like Bal, but to be a truly dominant team, you need to execute in all three phases, not to mention coaching. We are getting there, but game time will tell.

any interest?

could move Reiff to RT....

Zero. He quit on them twice in 5 months.

And we'd have to trade for him. Big time pass.

I think he (Albert) would want big bucks. I like that Hill is developing.

On another note, I heard Wobby on the radio expounding on my question to him: "What is the basis of your hope". Again he explained that our offensive line can't possibly be as bad as last year, especially with all of the injuries that we had. Even two seasons ago we won an NFC championship and he believes that our offensive line will be improved upon that one.

I'm wondering what to ask him next. Perhaps I should ask him if he sees Cook as a three down back and why he could do that and not McKinnon when he is only one pound heavier and one inch taller.

Vikings confident: ‘We’ve got the best defense in the NFL’

http://www.twincities.com/2017/08/07/vikings-confident-weve-got-the-best-defense-in-the-nfl/

- wouldnt that be sweet?

I believe they likely have the best defensive line in football. Third linebacker, nickel corner and second safety are still questionable, but if those questions are answered safisfactorily, I do believe we are sitting on the most awesome Vikings defense ever.

And the interesting thing is the third LB and nickel corner together fill a position. I hope we get that straight because offenses will attack any weaknesses.

Traditionally, the Vikings teams that have had the most success (if "success" is SB losses and NFCCG losses) have been ones where either the D or O was dominant.

That and a shortened league year.

Seems Zimmer came in and revamped a shitty defense into a very good one. And now they are addressing the offense... not saying it will be all that but they are addressing it. While locking in the key defensive players for the future.

Huge makeover, and what is good is that there will be little to no film on this offense mainly with Cook and the OL. I think that is what helped us with the 5-0 start last year what with Bradford. Hopefully Shurmur adds a few wrinkles to the passing game.

Bradford

Cook
Ham?

Diggs
Theilen
Rudolph

Reiff
Boone
One of the E's
Elfein or Berger
Remmers

Because it isn't about size and weight it is about football skill.

All I hope for is our OL coach to be like super serious and demand good play. Shrugs and indifference gets you Kalil's years.

Wherever the line lies above incompetent and unlucky health wise will help this team go far.

Chances are...Bruce's recalling of what Wobby had to say changed NFC North champions to NFC champions.

Would you be implying that McKinnon got their by being a workout warrior while Cook is naturally the bigger man?
