Wiggins did OK.

Tyus showed some fire and confidence.

I liked Crawford's game. Lets see if the old man can keep that energy level up over 82 games though.

Piece-a-pizza looked good in his short stint. He seems to be bulked up a bit too.

I think we'll see the second unit do better than the other team's second unit many times this season.

What are you guys doing for Halloween? I'm thinking of dressing up like a broad side of a barn and going as an Andrew Wiggins free throw.

I thought I would rip off some Common Man jokes and go as Matt.

Ouch. I'm going to dress up as some analgesic cream and go as Matt's prescription after that sick burn.

It's one game on the road against the best coached team in the NBA in their opener. Maybe we might want to ease off the panic button.

I saw a lot of good in the game...majority played lousy and missed a ton of shorties and were in the game until the end.

Probably because San Antonio was missing Leonard and Parker. It would have been a blow out otherwise.

Actually Parker playing would have helped....he can't guard anyone. Leonard would have shut down Butler---but he didn't do anything any way.

You really don't thing the presence of Leonard, one of the best players in the sport, doesn't change the dynamic of the game. Leonard's impact on Butler is the least of what he does. Parker would have been fine defensively, since Teague was pretty well self guarding, not to mention Parker would have shredded Teague on the other end.

My initial look at Tyus on Wednesday is that his strength/athleticism have noticeably improved. The and-1 in transition was nice, and his defense seemed better. Anyone else see the same thing? (I admit I didn't see a lot of him last year.)

I saw it too and I thought his defense was noticeably improved as well. At least for one game, we played better when he was on the floor.

I thought his defense was the biggest surprise last year.

He can get overpowered or "overathleticed", but his team defense is very strong. Kid know what he's doing out there.

Still waiting for the jumper to really come around.

I think I've wanted us to sign Elijah Millsap for like 5 years now. Would love to see him get a chance.

When will people realize that Parker is not good any more. Spurs are better giving all the PG minutes to Murray and Mills.

Let's crush these guys!

Although the Jazz are the closest thing there is to a non-Minnesota team I like. They have the GM that should've been ours, and he keeps going after all the players I like. Besides taking Ricky from us, he drafted Gobert (who I was screaming for draft night), Burks (my 2nd round steal that year), Mitchell this year too. And Ingles and Udoh were both guys I really wanted in free agency this year. Thabo was also on my short list of wings that I thought we had a shot at.

But now is the time to crush that stupid team with the mismatched name....

Mitchell is the real deal I think.

Wiggins is playing GREAT.

KAT with 2 fouls.

Teague is bricking everything. 3s and layups. He's not even close.

But less of THAT shot from Wiggins.

There is never a need to take a long contested 2 early in the clock. That's a "clock running out" shot.

Too many turnovers.

Bench is struggling - other than Bjelica (who is playing well). Tyus, Dieng and Crawfoird all struggling.
