We had some highly rated safeties in for visits. This most likely be sandejo's last year in purple. Is Kearse or Harris the replacement? I really like Reid in the draft.

I got my eyes on a slightly lower rated safety that won't cost as much draft capital as Reid.

I know Richardson is potentially only for this year...still...have we ever (or recently) spent big on a FA and then doubled down with our top draft stock? I do not see any chance we take a DT with our first pick.

Ahhh... last year w Murray/Cook.

They will do it again, if the right value is there.

Nope. He's kind of top secret for now. Don't want to jinx it.

I can hear Spielman at his presser; We did our homework...we couldn't pass on the incredible value..we're really excited to add the talent...

Does that mean at 30? Well, not like I know the draft or can get in the head of gm's...

I'll stand with no DT at 30.

If Taven Bryant dropped to 30 I could see it. Not for Hurst though.

But Hurst is better than Bryant and the risk seems very small IMO.

DLine coach Patterson would turn Bryan into a star.

Hurst might be better out of the gate but Bryan has All Pro potential.

You looking at my draft board? Turay is the same size as Danielle Hunter.

I prefer s.i., cbs sports, and nfl.com (although their height weights are all messed up this year).

The context was edge defenders similar to Barr (6-5 255) not edge rushers like Hunter ... Vander Esch (6-4 256), Carter (6-6 250), Turay (6-5 252).

I would not be unhappy with any player in the first three rounds who can shore up the RG position, help our pass rush, improve the slot cb position, or add speed to the TE position. Insurance for not being able to resign Barr (like Turay) is gravy.

By going +100 you obviously thought I meant 'by drafting one player that could do all those things.'

Not so but thanks.

The Pundit rankings you see are downgrading Hurst due to the irregular heartbeat. As far as Talent goes almost everybody sees Hurst as more talented.

Don't agree. I'm not looking at rankings based on where players are going to be drafted ... I am looking at best prospects at DT and overall prospect rankings.

I also think a lot of people rank Bryant higher than Hurst because of the projected upside.

Oh ... and then there's the heartbeat issue which most likely probably almost certainly may not be an issue.

I'm going to say no to your example. Murray at 4-5 mil per and Cook a 2nd round is not that same as 8+ for Richardson followed by a 1st round choice. But thanks for playing.

Wow,
Josh Allen’s racist tweets from HS have surfaced.

Does not bode well for a draftee or an NFL Teammate.

This cut and paste may offend, that is your warning.

Former Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen apologized for some offensive and racist tweets he made in high school.

Allen is projected as a top–five pick in Thursday's draft and told ESPN.com that he he was young and dumb when making the tweets.

The tweets have been deleted from Allen's account, but Yahoo! Sports reports that the tweets were sent when Allen was in high school in 2012 and 2013.

According to Yahoo@ Sports, below are some examples of Allen's tweets.

(Warning: The tweets contain offensive language.)

“@cheriishhh: i dont think you n***** want a troubled son!” — Josh Allen (@JoshAllenQB) June 14, 2012

“@Alpha_Patlan: “@J_Prodigy_5: @Alpha_Patlan (uhh) stay schemin…” N***** Trying To Get At Me. ” doe — Josh Allen (@JoshAllenQB) February 12, 2013

"@FelipeeeeMelo_: Bout to show up these N**** at pong. Gonna do for @j_prodigy_5 @AFlyer5 and @J_Sal_Forever_5.":) — Josh Allen (@JoshAllenQB) February 26, 2012

Why are you so white ? — If it ain't white, it ain't right! http://t.co/wsLQKZQWG5 — Josh Allen (@JoshAllenQB) June 25, 2013

Actually I already won and had a parade. Thank you

Murray became the 4th highest paid RB with his contract. Richardson is like 20th for DL.

You said our top draft pick, which Cook was. Can't change the rules now!

Confetti falls!

BS that they release it today. Clearly trying to effect his stock.

He might go from the most overrated (IMO) to the most underrated by the end of the day.

Man can they dig stuff up on the internet....

Funny show on Dan Barriero yesterday....he was talking to a draft expert Marty Wexler III. Marty apparently has NFL clients where they used GPS Tracking in bodies, Chips in Bodies, tested urine after players after they use a urinal, broke into prospects houses, etc. to find out what kind of kids they are.

Well any way Dan starts talking to him and after about 7 mins they hear you have 3 mins remaining and Dan was surprised....turns out Justin Gaard knew it all along---Marty was in prison for something he did w/o permission and they were talking to him in prison.

Here is more from 2007

From what I heard, Marty is a draft guru, writes his own draft guide and it is VERY detailed. He tests for some of the most intriguing stuff. And then he has this list of players that have a 85% chance of "becoming special" and he mentioned AP, Gaines Adams, and a couple of other players being in that group of "destined to be special players."

Some of the stuff he tests for...

If you've played Madden, you know the QB Pocket Pressure drill where they set up a few JUGS machines and fire footballs at 25mph at the QB as he tries to evade them.

He also tests how long a player can hold onto something while being dragged which tests the players' hand, arm, and upper body strength.

He also has this crazy drill where skill players (QBs, RBs, WRs) wear these special gloves that can shock the player when the person controlling the gloves chooses to do so. They start out at minimal milliamps and work their way up to 20milliamps total (which scientists say is the safest maximum amount of voltage). Apparently, Anthony Gonzalez of OSU was the best at this drill, which tests how well the player can hold onto the ball, and apparently Ted Ginn Jr. let go of the ball after the first shock.

There's also a drill where the QB is blindfolded and makes passes based off of instinct and awareness. Quinn did horribly in this category.

He said Quinn is the most overrated player in this draft. He Quinn did poorly for a QB on the test he gives out (similar to Wonderlic).

Also, there's this crazy thing he does where he implants a chip into draft prospects which is like a GPS chip and it monitors where the players go. This way the players can prove that they stay out of trouble. He says that 72% of NFL prospects elect to do this.

Anyway there's a bunch of more stuff I didn't get a chance to hear or forgot so I highly recommend you listen to this, its very interesting...

And I could be wrong on a lot of those things above, they are pulled from my memory while I was listening in my car.

Christmas Day for NFL Draft Nerds everywhere!

Seems unlikely that we stick and pick tonight, but we'll see.

It appears like a strong draft for Corners and DB's, (Defense in general) so I'd be fine with trade back.

After being stuck on Hernandez, I'm liking Daniels more; Daniels to Center and Elf to RG.

If we go LB at the end of rd 2 I hope Lorenzo Carter is there.

6'5" 4.3 forty. Guy is a freak

Carter ran a 4.5 (atleast at the combine).

Kemoko Turay in the third would be another Edge / LB /Barr type-player.

Turay has never played linebacker before. Kylie Fitts and Marquis Haynes are the other two defensive ends that the Vikes brought in. All three could be a 3-4 OLB. (Edge)

Here are the linebackers we brought in.

Lorenzo Carter
Uchenna Nwosu
Matthew Thomas
Quentin Poling
Jack Cichy

Wow,
Josh Allen’s racist tweets from HS have surfaced.

Yeah it was whacky almost like it wasn't real...but when Dan kept asking Marty where he was calling from and Justin didn't tell him until near the end of it----made it seem real to me. Pretty good bit if it isn't real at this time of the year.
