True we gave up no draft picks for Cousins but some of us here still feel we gave up our soul...

I would be really nervous about making Bridgewater my QB1. Really nervous.

So whats next, DL and OL depth still need be addressed and hopefully with something more than draft picks...

How did we sell our soul? I don't get this. The Vikings will still have around $26 million in cap room after signing Cousins. They don't exactly have to go bargain shopping with that kind of coin left. There is plenty of cap room to sign meaningful talent ahead of the draft.

Get with the program Sweens!

Signing Cousins is like the Hershel Walker trade combined with the Great Depression with a bit of the sinking of the Titanic mixed in!

DOOMED! WE'RE DOOMED I SAY!

I'm a Cousins guy... I'd rather gamble on upside.

However, I completely get the Case fanatics.

Great guy, saved the season.
Had he been able to win a superbowl would have single handedly(in the myth that would grow) wiped out the Vikings painful past.
He is an easy story to get behind.

Cousins can be that guy too.

Sure glad I could give you a good laugh David! Truth be told, you are one of the posters I most respect here since long ago... Cant help my feelings on Kirk, something about this just puts me on opposite side of most posters here... As much as I will have an eye on his every failure, I do want the same thing every other Viking fan wants in the end and in time I will try and embrace Quirk Cousins... That is if I am not able to stand on the soap box and say "told you so!"

Honestly hope I am wrong and he excels to point you feel he can... I am wrong quite often in life, nothing would be sweeter than being wrong on this and seeing the Vikes win a Super Bowl with KC...

So that's:

Denver - Case
Arizona - Sam
Jets - Teddy

Looks like all of the competition for Cousins has thrown in the towel.

This is a guy who has missed 40% of his games from having the same ACL replaced twice. One time, he blew it out just jogging to the sidelines.

Why? He's more likely to pass up McClown than Cousins.

Exactly. The only options in my mind were Cousins or Keenum. No thanks to paying a small fortune for damaged goods.

Ragnarok with Keenum signed with Denver the Vikings had no other option. Sure the difference in salary will likely cost us one pretty good player, but it's a million times better than going with Teddy or Bradford or giving up a first round pick for Foles.

I'm shocked that Bradford can get $20 million considering his lack of health. Is this confirmed.

I don't get it, either. This is not scott mitchell 2.0! Kirk is a proven qb who is in his prime right now. I like the move. Expensive, to be sure, but some of these reported deals involve large amounts of paper for average players, so I think we're okay.

all the over-the-top qb and wr money that's being thrown around out there - from my pov; we got the best deal in free agency so far....

Hey, we were aggressive and signed the best QB on the market. What else could we do? We'd never sniff a blue chip 1st round QB and the other QB's simply weren't as good as Cousins for their own reasons. We had the advantage of seeing all three QB's (Bradford, Bridgewater, and Keenum) during their most recent action and inside the building. We did well.

I get what transpired... Im just not lining up to buy a fresh "You VIKE That" tee yet.... its all good...

Kirk Cousins was the best option as viewed by the FO, selling soul comment was more metaphorical than literal...

At the end of the day Im on board... all in, loving the signing... LETS GO!

They were the only options in my mind also. Anything else would IMO be a complete disaster.
