I don't understand what Butler is trying to accomplish.

I don't see how anyone gives him anything close to 5/190 after all this.

He's trying to force the issue.

He's losing money, and we're losing value every moment of this.

Should have bit the bullet and traded him for the first semi-reasonable offer.

you know I like philosophy, the practical kind. I can procrastinate with the best of them, because most things are not as important as first glance makes them. I also worked 20 yrs as an air traffic controller where probably the most necessary skill was the ability to re evaluate a situation and admit you need to change plans to make things work out.

To have all this crap NOT be dealt with by Thibs in the summer; to drive up to the start of camp with it unresolved, it seemed so obvious to me "the plan" didn't need tweeking it needed a major reset. Thibs needed to go. It was too messed up to be fixed by him. So now we are less than a week from the season starting, camp has been a waste, the team has players and staff all just going thru the motions. The time to change was at least 3 weeks ago. And it has only gotten worse, and it will continue while Taylor fiddles and watches Rome burn. I have never been this disappointed in TWolves history.

And I'm sure KAT/Wiggs LOVE the trending Twitter topic about Jimmy taking the third team and dominating the starters...

Odds Thibs has had decent offers and refuses to pull trigger because he is under some stupid delusion that they can all work it out?

Likely what Butler thought so he came to practice to make sure nobody no longer felt that way.

Taylor hanging onto that buyout money very tightly.

I know he is old and getting paid by the Warriors/Clippers but damn, I would toss Jerry West several million for 90 days of consulting.

I doubt anyone (other than Jimmy) put any effort into the practice - or had any desire to be part of Jimmy's circus..

At this point they need to quit worrying about trying to shed Gorgi. Take Richardson and limit the protection on the pick and get it done.

The Wolves were warned this would happen. Multiple times. And they still let it go.
1:19 PM - Oct 10, 2018

------------

Jon went on to specify that Jimmy warned Thibs this is what would happen.

Thibs cut today's presser off after 4 minutes.

Apparently Thibs didn't say a single word during the "practice".

Thibs did nothing to stand up for the players that WANT to be here.

That would be a mature perspective for them to take. And, undoubtedly, one that is only fueling their "softness" in Jimmy's mind.

Maybe that is what he wants, take his money and leave. Nothing forces that more than being a complete idiot.

It is either that or he is so stupid he actually thinks he can smooth things over, either way any sane owner would have cardboard boxes by Thibs door ASAP.

Thibs needs to grow up and realize that he is the only one living the delusion of this wonderful relationship between him and Butler. Jimmy clearly doesn't reciprocate.

That Misery list is good, I don't get all of them but most of them.

It really has been a train wreck of a franchise for basically 30 years. After that long, the Owner is the only one to really blame.

Nate:

So Thibs is signed with Creative Artists Agency, which is also the agency of one Leon Rose, agent of people like Devin Booker, Carmelo Anthony, Joel Embiid, D-Wade, and a little player we like to call KAT. That they didn’t give professional courtesy ("hey KAT, we’re bringing Jimmy back in the building") to one of the agency’s biggest clients is a really, really big FUBAR and apparently Rose is really flexing his influence on this one. If there is anything that can get an owner’s attention it is a promise that a firm that represents 42 first round picks, 12 top 5 picks, 36 all nba selections, and 50 all star appearances won’t work with a certain front office.

They should be able to sit Butler if he doesn't listen to the coach and play to win etc. And by sitting him it would mean without pay. Butler shouldn't be able to act like a dick. He's still under contract and the Wolves certainly do not have to trade him just because he wants to be traded.

They should release the video tape, suspend Butler without pay and tell him they have no intentions of trading him. Screw up his super max deal.

Franchise is hosed anyway might as will take Jimmy with you.

Is anyone else enjoying the hell out of this?

At some point you just have to give up on the Wolves being a 'normal' organization and just go with the spectacle. This is better that any so-called 'reality' TV series could ever be.
