As reported on Ch. 5 last night -- hope you watch -- #Twolves have inquired with at least 2 teams about acquiring another pick. The talks I've heard were about another 1st, but this Draft is plenty good enough that a high 2nd should have lots of appeal too. #AllEyesNorth

Okogie is a 6’4 sophomore wing with a 7-foot wingspan who will make his name playing high motor defense. He’s also capable as a catch-and-shoot guy on offense, drilling 38 percent of his threes each of his two years in college and hitting 82 percent of his free throws this past season.

Most NBA execs assume Philly will take Mikal Bridges at 10. He fits a position of need, complements Embiid and Simmons, and is ready to produce right away. The fact that he played in their building (and his mom works in their HR department) doesn't hurt.

Mikal would be an amazing pick for Philly.

Saw a projection picking Knox at that slot but Bridges makes a lot more sense for them.

I have no idea why Knox has been getting so much love lately. Maybe GMs are thinking ALL Kentucky players games are suppressed in college.

Not a great athlete, not a great shooter, passer or defender. Steal and block numbers are a big red flag.

His absolute ceiling might be Tobias Harris.

Sounds like it will be Brandon McCoy at #20 for the Wolves.

7'1" Center from UNLV. His body should fill out eventually.

And why does it sound like McCoy is the pick? Does Common have a source?

My 1 night rebuild:

(Granted, its using the rumor Zgoda floated of Dieng + #20 for Bazemore and #30, so grain of salt).

Do Z's trade first, then I still think Wiggins for Hield/Schumpert/WCS is about as fair/realistic of a trade as possible.

Resign Bjelica, don’t sign Rose, draft a wing at 30 (Okogie?) and I’m SUPER happy.

Teague/Tyus
Bazemore/Hield/Shumpert
Butler/Bazemore/Okogie
Taj/Bjelica/Patton
KAT/WCS/Patton

That's a balanced team with shooters, scorers and defense at multiple levels.

AND it fixes our long term cap problems and hopefully it gives us enough young talent (Tyus, Hield, Okogie, Patton?, WCS?) that can step up when guys like Teague, Taj and Baze move on.

Sounds like Kyri doesn't want to be a Wolf...

Khyri Thomas, G, Creighton: In some ways, Thomas would appear to be an ideal fit for the Wolves. He was the two-time conference defensive player of the year, has a 6-10 wingspan to help offset his 6-3 height and shot 41 percent from three-point range. But Thomas did not work out for the Wolves in the pre-draft process and his agency, Excel Sports, denied the team access to his medical information, league sources said. The Wolves could theoretically still take him if they wanted to, but it appears the message is being sent to consider other prospects.

Jon K:

Sources both inside and outside of the organization are skeptical about finding much of a market for Dieng, a more classic big man in a league that is getting smaller by the day. The list of available teams who would take on his contract in exchange for an asset also shrunk on Wednesday when the Brooklyn Nets made a trade for Dwight Howard, signaling their desire to be a major player in the free-agent market next summer.

Lowry is still great and has only 2 years left on his deal.

We'd be a MUCH better team immediately and have so much more flexibility in the next 2 years.

Plus Miles is a volume 3pt shooter that we need for our bench. And Siakam is a nice young PF that can defend and has some scoring ability.

It would be a killer deal for us.

Its also the exact same trade that Eric at Canis proposed a while back, so I'm more than a little leery that's where Common got it.

Normally I don't put too much stock into reports like this, but I wonder if Patton got in his ear about the organization?

They did spend 2 years together at Creighton...

I'm inferring from your post that Patton is disgruntled?
