Total dumpster fire. This team is done. Even if they make the playoffs they are miles behind the top teams in the league. After last year I thought the Vikings had finally gotten over the hump and we’re done embarrassing themselves. Silly me. The writing was on the wall after the Buffalo game. Nauseating.

WE hold Wilson to 72 yards passing and an interception.
Yet lose the game.

I'm still not that worried about Cousins. It doesn't really what money is tied up where or who is the QB if Zimmer is the coach. The future is going nowhere until he is out of the picture, and I'm not even saying that in a horribly mean way. He had his window. It didn't work out. Bummer, but we gave it a run last year. Now that time is past, and its time to move to the next guy. I don't want the Vikes to fall into a trap of stringing it along longer than they should.

I mean, heck, Cousins could be gone before Zimmer in the darkest timeline!

Earlier, someone had mentioned he may be our Jeff Fisher.

most have me blocked so they dont see my

ZIMMER = JEFF FISHER

I think you drag down Fisher with that comment. I think Zimm is much worse but your point is well taken.

Why don't we go no-huddle to start the game?

Good question.

Because our coaches are not bright?

Playoffs are still a decent possibility depending on how are injured players are... Even if we make it it's unlikely we advance far, so time to look to the future.

If I own the team I:
1. Fire Zimmer or demote him to DC.
2. Promote Flip to HC on a 2 year make good deal.
3. Fire Priefer
4. Direct Spielman to focus on OL or be fired. At least 1 Guard should be signed via FA and 1 drafted. A new TE should drafted high as well.
5. Restructure some deals for overpaid vets or dump them... Griff, Rudolph, Remmers are exhibits A, B, and C, although I'm sure there are others.

This team is imploding. And I blame it on Zimmer.

Another OC will probably be in Minnesota next year.

You have to wonder what the Wilfs are thinking...

Remmers would be gone if it were up to me. No need to restructure.

Who in their right mind would want to be OC under Zimmer? The guy is stuck in the 40s and I hate it!

I could go with that. As head coach, at least Jeff Fisher did take his team to the Super Bowl one year. And actually played quite well in it.

nailed it... no picks, no rubs, no play action fakes, no looking off receivers, line up at ends time after time and stare them down, no imagination and no game from Kirk to fake anyone out

1&2: Zimmer wouldn’t take the demotion and what has Flip done this year to get a promotion to HC?
3: I’m down with firing Priefer
4: Agree, except I’d tell RS he needs 2 FA Guards signed, plus one drafted as well as a Tackle, both with high draft picks.
5: I’d dump Remmers, Sendejo, Treadwell and Barr and offer restructures for the rest of your list

Bottom line - Spielman destroyed our season before it started because he blew taking care of the o line

You Never demote a head coach. That is like asking the president of a company if the will settle with a demotion to phone sales. Only the Twins do that.

QBs like Romo, Cutler, COUSINS, at some point fans blame their OLs for their usually playing from behind, and not being quick enough to make plays at crunchtime, or to put the team on top.

I would like to see Sloter get a chance to play with this offense.

Kirk started out ok this season, but has mostly been a disappointment, he either truly sucks, or has to have everyone totally give up on him before he comes to life. There just seems to be something wrong right now.

Good point Marty. Maybe hes better in "prove it" mode. One thing for sure is the more Zimmer opens his yapper about the offense the less they seem to score.

Maybe he's just totally beat down from having such a shitty line for 13 games?

The Vikings might beat Miami at home next week, but will not beat Detroit and the only reason they will be the Bears is that the Bears won't have to worry about a win, probably rest players. Show of hands, who wants to watch this team in a playoff game..........hmmm, thought so.

The era of tough guy coaching went out a long time ago, Zimmer is the only one tying to bring it back, news flash, this team isn't tough, they don't believe you, they don't mimic you. They will always say nice things about you, you are the head guy, but down inside, they laugh at you and your schtick. Last week I watched an interview with Rhodes and PA was asking him about playing DB for Zimmer, insinuation how tough Zim was, he said something like, "yea, he's always watching, one day he was about 50 yards away and he was yell at me like he saw the play, I just laughed and said just go coach down there where you are". Something to that effect. It's a joke, no one takes it serious. Today's younger people don't respond to this type of "type A' shit any more. You need to grow with the times or they pass you by. He's a good coach, just not the guy you want in charge of the whole thing. Such a good roster, so many solid players, they should be much more formidable than they are.
