I think he had to trade the guys he did trade....the return was the problem. Should have traded our goaltender and somehow got a better one when he was at it.

All that fuss over the visa/passport …..
I will say one thing about BB
If you ain't a protected veteran baby ….. you WILL get singled out and sat, periodically.
Nothing wrong with that. Just wish the protected veteran babies weren't immune.

Seeler got the scratch in Ottawa … look for someone to take a face beating when he does get back in.

It really pisses me off that BB keeps rotating Seeler out of the lineup. Dude deserves to play every night.

Yup
And the only other ones he'll F with is Soucy and Hunt
How about Brodin getting a chance to sit up high and look deep into HIS soul, once in awhile?

You could tell Rask wasn't happy about sitting, and wasn't happy about being asked about it by our resident little puffy troll
Why wouldn't you light a fire like that in some other vets?
Or at least try it?
Reminds me of when Haula was the only forward Yeo used to like to whip with the stick.

And yet … here again this year … Haula goes to Carolina and they are ROLLING people. Seems to happen a lot to opponents when Haula plays against them.
Asshole or not, the kid produces and goes hard. We need more of that not less.

Meh, he only has 5 goals in his first 6 games this year. We didn't need anyone who could do that.

BB is afraid of Lou Nanne. You mess with Brodin, you're catching the attention of the Minnesota Mafia.

Like I said, listen to the opponents
Dallas's people came right out and said …. "he's got great numbers. But never stop throwing the puck at hm. Eventually he will hand you the game"
It nails him perfectly, imo.

The past 3-4 years I have had to sit in my groups and grind my teeth
I'm known as the Dubnyk-hater in town
And I had to grind my gears silently because he DOES have incredible stats.
He's always in the top 5 when it comes to stats.
But I truly can't think of anyone who has accomplished less with such gaudy numbers
Has never stolen a playoff series, or carried a team on his back down the stretch.
he compiles massive numbers during times when the team around him was playing tight, good, solid hockey.
He never faced the high volumes of shots or the high quality shots others had to, imo.
I just think his career numbers highly over-value his worth.
I can see people falling for him, if they don't watch every game. And every goal he gives up.
Biggest goalie in the game most years … and yet leaves more unprotected net than any goalie I watch. That's not easy to do.

And since I'm Belushi-rolling here ….. WHY in the hell you wouldn't want Stalocks puck-playing abilities out there every night is beyond me.
He's often a third defenseman for us, often moves the puck before we ever have to come back deep.
And he's EXCELLENT at it. Somehow, he can move a puck better with a goalie stick than half our D can with theirs.
I'd much rather watch that than the big giraffe play the puck with a limp garden hose (which is what Dubnyk looks like)
Yes, I'm being hard on him, but there is no goalie in the league worse than him at playing a puck. I'll never be convinced that anyone is worse.
And usually a couple times a week, that costs us. Dearly.

Maybe Brodin should work with Stalock on stick skills.....LOL.
Don't worry after this season we should be able to draft the top smooth skating Swede and maybe this time we find one that actually has a few stick skills too.

His stats aren't really that incredible. In fact his advanced stats are downright horseshit. His goals saved above average last season was negative 18.16, which was last in the NHL. He also had the second worst high danger save percentage in the league.

I stopped looking awhile ago
I was talking 2-3-4 years ago when the outsiders were oohing and ahhhhing about his numbers
We who watched him every night knew better

In another one of those I-hate-my-life moments, I think back again to Josh Harding
Probably had a pretty damn good chance to be our Crawford, our Fleury, our Lundquist
Another bad damn break for Mn sports fans.
That dude was a smooth, solid goalie. With a bright future.

The Maple Leafs are back in Toronto for the first time since Thursday's 7-3 loss to the Lightning. The Leafs have allowed 18 goals through four home games, their most after four games at home since also permitting 18 in 1997-98.

The Wild are the perfect remedy for any team looking to improve defensively.
Don't; be fooled Toronto
You'll only give up a goal or two tonight
According to Boudreau, that's cool tho.

Yep, the Wild will get Toronto's GA back in line.
