I watched the first two periods, then I found something else to do that was more exciting - I'm checking my e-mail. When I'm done with that I'll probably send off a proposal for the next class to teach.

You know, exciting stuff.

I'll probably peek into the game in the third period once or twice to see if there is anything to get my fins up about.

Alexis Lafreniere is supposed to be, hands down, the #1 player in the draft. What's terrifying is that there are two Swedish forwards ranked in the top 5, who are known as the terror twins. One of them is described as being "real cerebral with and without the puck”. I'm sorry, I just don't like the sound of that.

I watched Dumbo "cerebrally" fumble a puck at their blue line Saturday night, take it back to center ice, fumble it again, spin-o-rama back to our blue, fumble-frack it again and again all the way back to behind our net.
I can say … never saw that before.
So we have that going for us, which is, ya know … nice.
We need fewer thinkers.

Mats Zuccarello will be out at least three games for the Minnesota Wild with a lower-body injury.
The forward sustained "bumps and bruises" in a 7-4 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday, according to coach Bruce Boudreau. He did not travel with the Wild on their three-game road trip this week.
Zuccarello, who agreed to a five-year, $30 million contract as a free agent July 1, has no points in four games this season. He had 40 points (12 goals, 28 assists) in 48 games with the New York Rangers and Dallas Stars last season.
He will not play against the Ottawa Senators on Monday (1 p.m. ET; RDS, TSN5, FS-N, FS-WI, NHL.TV), the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday or the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday.
Following the road trip, the Wild (0-4-0) return home to play the Canadiens on Sunday.
