I fully expect us to trade RoCo before the deadline.

We're not going to be good or competing for a playoff spot, and I think Rosas is going to want to move him for a younger guy. He's been very open about wanting to put a core around KAT of guys of a similar age. And it sound slike he was very available in trade around draft time.

Personally I think his on court value is invaluable to a young team learning to play the game, but I also think his on-court effect on wins and losses is much greater on a good team.

So I think it's much more likely he gets traded to a good team than a bad one - which makes it trickier getting equal value back on a younger player.

I still believe that if Klay looks like he'll be back for the 2nd half, that we end up moving RoCo for Russell - and I think we'll regret it in the long run...

News of Klay probably being out for the year should hopefully make this less likely.

Shams:
Minnesota has waived guard Ty Wallace, league sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.

And we're down to 15.

Personally, I would've rather waived KBD because I think there is some interesting potential in Wallace.

Hopefully G League?

My guess is back with the Clippers.

Interestingly, Clips hung onto Derrick Walton, a young PG from Michigan. He seems to be a better shooter than Ty, which is a big deal with the current group. Non-guaranteed, probably less than even money to last past the trade deadline.

Where did Ty end up at or is he not signed?

My guess is he has G League offers, but he's waiting to see if he can get a main roster offer or at least a 2-way deal (like he had last year).

We already burned up our 2 way offers?

I'm OK with that. He played better than Layman in the preseason.

We're likely going to get killed on the glass anyways, so we might as well put in a guy who can match up with the Nets wings a little bit.

Love Wiggins new hairdo.

I feel like the scarecrow talking about the snow falling on a sleeping Dorothy. “Maybe this will help! Oh but how could it help? Wait, it is helping!”

First shot of the season, a missed long 2 by Towns just inside the line.

Way to make a statement.

Ok it got better. New faces led a run at the end of the quarter. An ugly but effective quarter.

Great 1st quarter for KAT.

9 points on 5 FGAs. 3/3 from deep. 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, 1 block, 0 turnovers and as good of overall defense as I've ever seen him play. He's really walling up well.

2nd unit continues to carve up the Nets. Looking more cohesive than the starters did.

The biggest thing with KAT is he's just holding his ground on defense. He hasn;t been wildly flailing at everything around him like he always has in the past.

Even his one foul was an iffy call - and probably should've been a travel on Jordan.

Good minute distribution in the half.

9 players between 9 and 16. One more at 7.

I've never seen a PG get so freaked out every time a big is switched onto him.

I honestly believe we'd be up 10+ right now if Wigs hadn't stepped on the court.

Napier/Okogie/Layman/RoCo/KAT should be the lineup to close this game out.
