ORIGINAL: Chris Olson I kinda like that bit on Udoh...sounds like he could fit many places based on how the draft played out, they must think a couple of those developmental guys can take the next step... this is where we see if some of the "development" that has purportedly been happening has happened like it should... you would like to think a 2nd round LT (Cleveland) wouldn't need a year to be groomed, but the third day guys (Samia and Udoh), yes So, if Cleveland is legit at LT and Reiff can move inside to LG, Udoh at RG (6-5, 325 sounds prototypical road grader RG) and O'Neil stays at RT, hate to disrupt a good thing there... or if we jettison Reiff and Samia is solid at RG, maybe Udoh is a potential LG seems like lots of potential In Cleveland's case, it's more a question of strength than anything else. If he has the play strength to go against vets, he may have the savvy, technique, processing skills, and coachability to play sooner rather than later. They are talking about Cleveland starting out at guard, but if he is lacking at play strength at OT, he really would be lacking vs. some of the DT bullies in our division. It's just my opinion and I'm not an expert, Cleveland has to be a tackle and not a guard. I believe that Reiff is not a natural LT. Corey Chavous said that. If he remains on the team, I would try him at guard. I agree with all of this, Bruce, though I don't see Reiff staying as an "if" this year with so many questions. I think he stays and next year maybe renegotiate or cut depending on how things develop this year----pun intended.
